Coronation Street - Farewell Jenna
Is Jenna getting a tribute show? I am going to miss her dearly, she had such a great emotional exit for a well loved character. We can look back on moments when she got in a strop with Lloyd and her mum when she first arrived, or the time she accused Paul of racism. And don't forget her fantastic chemistry with Sawfie, and their saddening farewell (although they haven't spoken in almost a year).
Glad they kept the door open for a possible return. |

I was tearing up. Thank goodness she got one final seen with Sawfie. I've only just got over Mandy's departure and now this. The Street is a sadder place without her

I'm speechless at the loss of this national treasure.
And I am sickened that ITV have chosen not to make a Farewell programme. How insulting to this esteemed actress. |

Had to dab my eyes a few times. It was very emotional
![]() The not awkward at all and incredibly emotional scenes between Jenna and Sophie were so powerful and so full of cra .... sorry .... pathos I had to leave the room in case I showed myself up by bursting into floods of tears. Not to mention Jenna's convenient speedy 180 degree shift in attitude towards Andrea once she knew she was leaving. She accepts her!!! *a nation cheers!* Oh my heart is full. And who wouldn't be moved by Lloyd's pathetic snivellin .... sorry ... natural devastation that the daughter he didn't know he had was moving ..... *gasps* 30 MILES DOWN THE ROAD!!!! Nooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!! *sobs* I don't think I can stand it .... I'm going to have to stop before I make a show of myself. |

I heard there may be an ITV2 spin off Jenna & Flash following their quest to get on as many reality TV shows as possible

Weatherfield is a seriously life changing place. When Jenna arrived she was a physiotherapist, the much loved daughter of a couple who'd been married for years and seemed to be doing pretty well for herself. She had her own house and her recently widowed mother as a lodger.
By the time she left, she'd been struck off, come out as gay, found out her Dad was not her father, been left by her Mum, lost her house, found her real father and was on minimum wage in a part time job, . Yep, life is never the same once you step on the cobbles. |

There's a vacancy in Roy's Rolls. Now, who is going to get the job ......? Maddeh, Leanne or Andrea?

And was hounded into sacrificing her professional status by Sawfie, who insisted on having a relationship with her against her better judgment.

Bet Lynch, Vera Duckworth, Ena Sharples and now Jenna. It's a select group but no one could argue against these 4 being the greatest female characters in the soap's history.

How is Jenna going to support herself while doing voluntary work overseas? People usually save up to do a gap year volunteering overseas, or have wealthy parents who are able to indulge them.
I wish the actress well in any new role she finds; she couldn't get worse writing and production than she did in Coronation Street. |

And of course she has the old Corrie stalwart of the "mate with a sofa to kip on".

I just hope she steers clear of 'that London' - all manner of horrors there.
The character could have been so much more with better writing. I'm sure the actress is glad to go look for something 'more' to do. |
