ED: Why did Aaron need to come back?
hmeister

When Aaron first arrived I was a big fan of his character but then it became the Aaron Show and I had to switch off around mid/late 2011 because he made the show unwatchable with his terrible acting.

Over the last year I've been dipping in and out and recently started watching more regularly on catch up. I feel that he will totally ruin the show again and it will become all about him and his tear stick.

He didn't need to - well not for us, or the programme. He's been slotted in. Danny Miller probably needed work after his early release from Scott and Bailey.

I didn't think he was necessarily a bad actor during that period, just the character was incredibly overused and atrociously written. Thankfully, Emmerdale have had a change in producer since then so hopefully Aaron's screentime will be justified this time around and they'll make better use of him.

It's a real shame they killed off Carl I liked the whole chas Aaron Carl squabbles they had going on Carl certainly knew how to wind Aaron up when it came to his mum.

The show runners seem convinced he'll give a boost to the ratings - they're making the return out to be a big event. Whether that'll turn out to be true or not I really don't know.

Kate Oates should consult with Kirkwood if she wants to boost ratings.

I typed that with a straight face, just so you know.

The question is has anyone hashtagged #aaronsback like the advert states like it's a big deal, what would be a big deal is the hashtag #kimsback

It is interesting that both Emmerdale and EE have re-recruited their 'poster'/award boy/girl in the form of Stacey & Aaron at virtually the same time.

After just watching tonight's episodes I hope Danny Miller decides to try and search for a Hollywood career again soon because Aaron is awful.

Worth the comeback for that alone. Hasn't everyone at one point lately just wanted to do that!

Same reason Donna did? Offered a great storyline and wanted to be back at their first job for a while again?

I'm actually starting back at my first ever job this week after 5 years away - and I have been employed throughout that time away.
