EE: Can anyone remember some details about the messages on Lucy's voicemail?
This is something I've been thinking about recently. In the episode where Lucy died, we heard a few different messages from her voicemail being played. I believe there were three: Lee, Peter and Cindy Jr.
Lee's seemed to be a laughing, joking message with the sounds of the housewarming party going on behind him. I think this was the first message played and it was presumably left before he saw Lucy arguing with Billy, unless he deliberately planted it on there for whatever reason. If this is the case then why didn't Lucy answer her phone to him earlier in the evening? As he would have left it well before she died. Peter (I'm not even sure it was Peter?) was possibly something along the lines of wanting to talk; I can't really remember this one at all. The third and last one I believe was from Cindy Jr apologising about something. We could assume that this was her apologising about telling Ian about the drugs but as she never said this specifically it could in theory be about something else. So my questions are: 1. Have I got it right in terms of who it was that left the messages? Was there anyone else? 2. What order were the messages played to us? Is this the order in which they were left on the phone? 3. Can anybody provide an exact transcript of what the messages said or at least give an accurate account of what they were about? 4. Are there any clues in here that hold more significance now we know a bit more about the night that Lucy died? |

The three messages were left by (in order) Lee, Cindy and Ian. I think Cindy apologised for something but we're led to believe that's because of the drugs thing.
However, during this storyline Cindy hasn't been on screen much and that's a really clever device for people to forget her. So much has happened and been discovered, that you forget she wasn't actually seen in Lucy's death episode, only heard, so why was she such an important part? Also, it would keep within the realms of it being all about 'family' - she'd definitely be her mother's daughter. Also, having her be pregnant, and a minor, would help to maybe keep her in the show or a less strenuous sentence. Cindy's my front runner. But could the young actress handle such an intense reveal when it comes out? She is very good but who knows? |

Lucy could even have gone back to the house at some point after arguing with Billy; Cindy would most likely have been on her own there as Ian would have been with Rainie at that point, and Denise probably hadn't returned home yet. Whether or not Cindy is a killer is a different question but I do think there is more to come from her. |

“Hi, this is Lucy, please leave a message”
CINDY JR: Lucy, are you coming back tonight? I know I messed up, just please don’t be mad. Just…text me. RING RING “Hi, this is Lucy, please leave a message” LEE: (Loud background, party noise) Lucy? It’s Lee. Are you not coming to this party? I fancy another cheesecake breakfast. Ha, ha, only messin’. Anyway, I hope you sort stuff out with your dad, yeah? RING RING “Hi, this is Lucy, please leave a message” IAN: Lucy, err, it’s me, it’s dad. Err…look…I’m (pause) I’m sorry. |

Billy said Lee was following Lucy. So I assume that was after he had left this message. Meaning both him and Cindy left their message while Lucy was still alive I would think.
I just hope we do get a flashback episode so that we can see all this play out in real time. Be such a cop out if they don't treat us to a special episode covering her final four hours. |

Anyone else notice a kind of crackling noise at the end of Ian's message? I wonder where he was when he rang her, at the restaurant or after he met up with Rainie?
