Samsung galaxy tablet question
I am thinking of buying a tablet for mainly away from home use. I have a galaxy phone on EE which is very fast on 3G and wonder if the tablet would accept my sim card from my phone to connect just about anywhere to internet, thus saving the extra sim cost. Also, does the tablet allow the possibility to receive calls as does the ipad so I've been told.

I saw the phone symbol on one of my security apps on my Tab 3 but I can't seem to get it working.
I can't seem to find a slot to insert a sim card so I have to run it off the wifi. |

Galaxy Tablets are available in both 3G/Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi only models so in theory yes you could use the same SIM card. There are a couple of points to consider, Firstly, the faffing about getting the SIM card out of your phone and into the tablet would seriously put me off. Not to mention that with your SIM card in your tablet what will you do when someone tries to phone you? I believe that you can make internet based calls on mobile data but I'm not certain how reliable that is. Secondly have you a contract giving you sufficient data allowance to use your tablet together with your normal phone use? Depending on who you are with and the tariff you are on it may not be an issue but it's certainly something to consider.

Skype can be used to get/send phone calls on a tablet which does not have 3G provided you have a wifi connection as above (or via any wifi service). You can get a personal number which if anybody rings that number will connect you to what ever device you are using that has skype connected. |

As above, simply create a wifi hotspot using your phone, just be sure your contract allows tethering use.
