It's been annoying me lately..had barely ever heard of it then all of a sudden it was everywhere!

First tried it in a restaurant in London called Bodeans back in 2010 or thereabouts. Delicious. Now I slow cook my own, make my own sauce, creamed corn etc and then can't move for the rest of the evening

Top of the menu at the science museum restaurant (the deep blue one or whatever it's called).

Still pretty expensive, but you'd expect that. Tasted okay, but I too wonder how something pretty cheap has become so trendy you can pay a premium for it.

This is the first I've heard of it. After googling it the images don't look particularly appetising to me.

Still, it's taste that counts. If I see some I'll give it a try.

I couldn't live without Bodeans... In fact, my Bodeans Q Card is largely responsible for the failure of every diet I start

I've been accidentally making pulled pork for a while, always slow cook it and the kids wouldn't eat it unless it was pulled apart. I do pulled gammon too.

Pulled pork contains dihydrogen monoxide which is lethal in large doses.

When I lived in North Carolina pulled pork was sometime of the state dish. When you referred to a bbq there it was the roasting of a whole hog. the meat was usually served in a bun with coleslaw and a choice of bbq sauce.

What we would call a bbq they called a grill

Pulled pork is delicious. I saw it on some American cooking show a few years ago, hunted down a recipe online and made it for me & my OH. It became a regular feature for Sunday tea – throw the pork in the oven at 9am at a stupidly low temperature, by 7pm it was all nice and melty.

I have noticed it’s become a lot more prevalent in restaurants and things recently though – but that’s no bad thing. A guilty pleasure is the BBQ pulled pork hot dog at Wetherspoons – so many calories, not great quality food but it really hits the spot sometimes.

I bought a Danepak pulled-pork joint from the Coop - it was 2/3 fat. Disgusting.

And called "pulled" pork, because you pull it apart (usually with two forks) to shred it.

I've also come across other pulled meats, like beef, lamb and even chicken.

I agree; it's another one of those foods that people eat just so that they can say they had it. It's bluddy everywhere you go. I prefer to have a leaner cut of pork instead of all that fat.

I go every time I'm in London (being where I am means not often though!) can't wait til I'm there in November. Gonna be so fat by the time I leave! The burnt ends are Mr Kivi's favourite He also brought me loads of their chipotle sauce that they sell when he was there without me. Mmm...

Its funny how fashions and taste changes, years ago pork and other meats would skill-fully carved into thin slices, now you just rip into rough shreds. Its just slow cooked cheap cuts (the best for flavour and texture though).

Beef shin, brisket and chuck are really nice slow cooked too.
