So good! I wasn't expecting it at all and I'm still reeling for it. Bye Donna.

Yeah, I don't think any of us guessed it would play out that way.

Good stuff. Well done ED.

Dreading adorable little April hearing the news though.

Great episodes tonight and a fitting ending for Donna. She took control of her own fate and took down a scumbag while she was at it.

Haven't watched Emmerdale in years as Blackburn made me give it up but I tuned in just to see Donna off. Great episode. Kinda makes up for the lame ass exit that Viv got.

Yeah, it was absolutely terrrific. Really tense, really sad, really emotional.

Donna's return has been absolutely brilliant, and Ross is fantastic.

A bit in shock right now, but emmerdale should be really proud of that - easily the best since Cameron.

Brilliant exit for Donna that had drama, emotion and plenty of action. Verity Rushworth and Michael Parr were both superb tonight and I liked how Donna managed to tell Ross that she truly loved him before plummeting to her death.

I don't get the criticism that Kate Oates receives on here. I think she's doing a superb job and has had many highs during her tenure- Rhona's drug addiction, Gennie's murder, the Woolpack siege, Brenda's brain tumour, Charity's lies, Val's HIV and now Donna's story.

So Donna effectively committed suicide?

Brilliant - I wasn't expecting that.

I think that Verity's acting has been superb for this whole storyline, very believable. I just wish that they hadn't brought her back in order to kill her off.

For me, Emmerdale is head and shoulders above the other soaps at the moment.

One of the best Epsiodes for ages, takes a lot for me to say that, as I am normally the type to say ooh it's only a programme.

First you thought, she might have got shot, then thought the cancer my take her life, but the roof top ending was amazing, in a way very Steph from Hollyoaks ending, didn't want the cancer to take her.

Now tommorrow we will have to see April being told, and Mark Charnock, and his gurning.

Wonder if Bob will be told Donna had cancer

Yeah, loved the whole thing, and hate the story is now done. They should have found a way to kill off Laurel instead

Reminded me of the farcical John Stape exit falling off the roof. Not surprised people are raving about it easily pleased comes to mind.

Kate Oates take a bow once more.

Yet again she has brought another brilliant story to a nail-biting, dramatic and shocking climax.

She is not afraid to take the viewers on a thrilling rollercoaster ride to hell and never disappoints!

I literally felt like I was dangling from that building myself the scene was so tense.

Another stunning episode to equal the brilliance of Gennie's car crash, subsequent shocking murder, pub siege and Cameron's demise.

I'm sure the aftermath and fall-out are going to be just as brilliant.

Used to watch Emmerdale but stopped a couple of years ago. A huge fan of Verity and I turned the TV on one evening only to see her on screen (it was the episode where Marlon found out about her illness) and she had me gripped. Her acting has been outstanding throughout. Tonight was just pure shock. I expected her to die in the car or collapse after Ross drove off but never did I see that coming! Donna was a wonderful character and I really liked her - I could never see her as a villain, she just wanted to provide for her daughter which is understandable.

Verity has been amazing and I hope she is back on our screens really soon! She is well-worthy of a leading role in a BBC / ITV drama.

As good as it's getting, ED hasn't, and won't, take over EastEnders. The trouble with Emmerdale is, they do big episodes very well, but it's a shame the majority of the episodes are poor to mediocre, IMO.
