Emmerdale are brilliant when they have big Storylines, but otherwise it is quite mundane.
It is like they keep the majority of there budget, for three or four storylines a year. |

Emmerdale are brilliant when it comes tragic love stories. For a minute there, I thought Donna was going to die with Ross truly believing she didn't love him! So glad she put it straight before she fell because he was heartbroken. Knew from day one she'd capture his heart.
And BTW Eastenders in my opinion is crap at this kind of thing. Emmerdale is far more superior. |

Haven't watched Emmerdale in years as Blackburn made me give it up but I tuned in just to see Donna off. Great episode. Kinda makes up for the lame ass exit that Viv got.
That programme tonight was NOT Emmerdale.

Emmerdale hasn't been this good since the Cameron SL, & like then I was literally frozen to the spot whilst watching. I wasn't expecting Donna too take the scumbag with her too! Shame she never told Ross about her cancer though, hope someone tells him.
The last couple of weeks of this SL have been great, the scenes where she was filming that video for April were tear jerking. Both actors have been amazing, Ross is brill, I love it how he's not afraid to show his sensitive side every so often. |

I thought it was a brilliant ending.
![]() So I hate to quibble, but a few of us were wondering how did she and Ross get out of the nightclub that the baddie had locked them in?

I don't normally enjoy ED and I didn't enjoy the siege apart from the flood but I did really enjoy Donnas exit even barely knowing anything about the storyline bit I thought it was very good and Verity Rushworth I think that is the actress who played Donna was amazing.

I had a feeling something was going to happen when they came back for the second part and they had a warning that there would be scenes of a violent nature before they started. I'll miss Donna but I'm glad that they didn't drag it out like they tend to do with other storylines.

Adam crashed into the car outside and the henchmen ran out after him, then Donna pepper sprayed baldie to make him give her the photos and the money. Then her and Ross took off in the opposite direction to Adam, Aaron and the henchmen.

a very good double bill tonight. very watchable. if i am being honest however, the storyline was completely ott in a hollyoaks sort of way, but saved by the actors and some wonderful performances. verity and michael were superb. a very good stunt at the end. nice to see danny miller back in the fold.

Just WOW
So nice not to have been telegraphed the end twist. well done Ms Oates. Can you imagine the mess The Hat would have made of it and we would have been leaked the ending. Well done to Donna and Ross. I like Verity Rushworth and have enjoyed her return and I like Ross, hot buns and all! Poor April, being left with the gruesome twosome. Adam and Aaron, were they there? Never noticed them TBH

Amazing double bill last night. The whole thing was very gripping, and Verity and Michael were brilliant - amazing acting from the both of them. Good to see Aaron back too

agree it was brilliant and unexpected.
Particularly loved the plotline where it's suggested he was a paedophile. Gave Donna the extra push she needed to protect April. |

Yep, all done to protect her child, knowing she wouldn't be there to do it herself, it was a fabulously worked twist - the repercussions tonight are going to be worth viewing too. So, so sad for Ross, how he is going to come through now is anyone's guess, horrible memories to live with.
As for Verity, someone give that girl a series, she was just brilliant. |

![]() Poor little April and Marlon tonight. Did anyone else notice that Aaron returned with a Liverpool accent. Maybe it was just me. |
