I remember Kelly Windsor returning not long after Viv's death after not attending the funeral and proceeded to not mention Viv at all.

I started to think maybe the actress had a falling out with the producers.

There both her half siblings but I think Donna said she hadn't seen them in a long time, it probably be the usual non mention.

Scott and Kelly are Donna's half-brother and half-sister not her stepbrother and stepsister. They got around their no show after Viv's death by having her funeral offscreen down South where they lived. I can't see them doing that again though with all her friends and family other than them two living in the village. There's no excuse though for not attending their sisters funeral though.

Probably be buried in Essex where she was living for the previous 5 years. The village was never the Windsors birth place was it.

This ^ I think Deena Payne wasn't happy with the way Vivian was going... I.E: Changing her style, not backcombing her hair or wearing longer skirts. Stuff like that so I suspect the producers got fed up and axed her.

Deena Payne KNEW Viv. Gavin Blyth didn't.
Previous producers have said it was the biggest mistake ever made in Emmerdale. If he hadn't spitefully killed her off she'd have been back long ago.

But it's where her dad is buried (IIRC) and where her daughter is going to be brought up. She might want her daughter to be able to visit her grave in the place she's living rather than having to go all the way down to Essex.

No doubt there'll be some crappy excuse for her siblings non-appearance. Didn't Kelly move abroad (America I think) so they'll use that as an excuse (as Jimmy should have her number as she has his child) and probably say they can't find Scott to get in touch blah blah blah. Or just not mention them at all!

The only way they could really do it would be to film the 'before' and 'after' scenes but not the actual funeral itself and then have people talking about Scott and Kelly as if they had been there. They could have had to go because of having planes/trains etc to catch. A bit naff, but better surely than just ignoring them altogether?

I'm also thinking it might be a bit much for the little girl who plays April to ask her to do a full on funeral scene at such a young age, it will be hard enough for her in the next few days anyway. Surely the producers have to draw the line somwhere in these things...

bib: How melodramatic of them.

Good on Blyth for not leaving the door open for her.

Back on subject: Bob might get a call from Scott or Kelly to give some excuse for not showing up.

Yeah, I too would be very surprised if April attended the funeral, for a start it might be quite alarming for the little actress who would never be able to give a convincing performance at her age but personally speaking I think a child of that age is too young to attend anyway.

Whatever kind of funeral Donna has it's got to be better than the photo/candle on the counter of the Woolie which is all that Viv got. That was a shocking way to treat a long term character. I remember being irate when Jackson had a long funeral complete with video in church after what Viv got To me it's irrelevant if the actress upset her bosses in some way, the character deserved more.

I reckon we'll see quite a bit of Donna's funeral though. She might have the full police funeral as she's died on the job, heroes death and all that? If that's the case I'd be surprised if Scott and Kelly even get a mention!

Which they kind of are! Weren't they both living overseas? Easy explanation for them not attending. She does have some contact because she mentioned they'd been tested for exposure to asbestos and we're clear.

Bob will probably say Kelly can't make it from the States won't he.

Kelly and Scott won't be there? For the funeral of a young sibling, hard to explain that one, but I bet it will be with a throwaway line from Bob

They feel she's let them down by turning into a bent cop?

Strange they haven't turned up already, or contacted Bob. Donna said they were clear of the cancer so they must've known her predicament.
