1) Edith (Although a Kim fan I much preferred the song she chose and thought she carried it off well. I will however still be voting for kim as overall I have enjoyed her performances more)

2) Kim (good performance but what a bad choice of song!! That is what let it down for me. Her best performances are always the slower songs, which is the opposite to Edith in actual fact)

3) Ade (It was funny the first 3 times, now i find myself switching off a bit as it is the same act each night. Like him alot though )

4) Reggie (Hurrah he has gone. Better performance in fairness than on Wednesday night, but that isn't saying much really )


I thought all of the songs they had sung before were excellently performed with Kim's being my personal favourite.

The duets were awful! Not much else to say about that

"New" Songs: Kim, Edith, Ade, Reggie
"Duets" all equal fourth I'm afraid!
"Old" Songs: Kim/Edith =1st, Ade/Reggie=3rd.
McFly: If they'd had been contestants on this they would have been out really early!

I have to disagree on the duets, Kim and Ade just got that so wrong! I'd also rate Edith above Kim on the 'New' ones, but otherwise your result = my result.

Agree with this - my wife was listening but not watching and commented how Reggie wasn't sounding quite as bad as usual, until I pointed out that actually it was McFly!

I've always been a Kim fan and usually vote for her, but last night Edith performed the best overall and if you just base it on last night's performances I'd rate:

Ade/Reggie 3

Also Kim and Ade's duet was a disaster - Kim sang in tune but off key, but apart from that, they didn't gel well or seem comfortable with each other at all, whereas Reggie and Edith did, even though Reggie was out of tune.

Reggie's "around the world from Peckham to Brixton" was quite funny (obviously he gets 37 bus a lot). I always thought he was North London, maybe he realises where the better part of London is

I would have loved the Judges to have had a say If they were in the competition they would have been given their marching orders. Just goes to show how hard it is/was for the students.

To be honest I found it very difficult to rate the performances last night, I felt all of them gave average performances in relation to all of their previous ones. Maybe, something to do with all being tired and having to perform 4 times. Hope that tonights show being the final, that they will all raise their game.

Kim and Ades duet was awful, although it was big of Kim to say it was because she started out of key.

Edith and Reggies was alot better, although I have to say for me, Reggie was the best.

I had to tape last night's show and I've only just now watched part of it.

It was very strange to hear Kim sing "You keep me hanging on" after having read all the forum comments saying it was a poor choice and her performance was disappointingly not as good as usual.

I think you're all wrong (and the judges weren't).

She was good; it moved me, and she's was even daring to dance. It wasn't better than her earlier best, but it was well sung with an enjoyable performance.

I've been a big of a fan of that song as well and have quite a few versions here and there among my records and CDs. She wasn't the absolute best I've heard, but she was doing it live under pressure when her voice was tired, and even without making any allowances there was noting to be ashamed of.

I agree. It wasn't her best but she was very tired. The duet was dreadful - but basically a cock-up.

However, I heard her sing an Eva Cassidy style "Somewhere over the rainbow" this morning - if she gets to do it tonight, I've got a feeling it will be outstanding..

I'm not sure we do. It sounds to me like you were disappointed; I wasn't, though of course I've have liked it even more if it had surpassed what she'd done before.

I've listened to it in a different way from everyone else, because I've heard it only after reading forum comments and without (yet) seeing the rest of the show.

I think it was much better than forum comments made it sound, that the judges had it about right when praising it, and that what she did stands up well compared to other performances of that song.

Don't worry - Somewhere Over The Rainbow will be superb!

I loved Kim's second song last night.
If she releases a CD/DVD with that on, I'd buy it.
