of course, remember in real life though her net would also be much wider cast rather than finding partners from the pub to the shop...like every character.

Charity has become one of the most evil character in the show. Home Farm has always been the home of the devil.

Charity is a proper, copper-bottomed, rock solid, bona fide, glorious Soap Bitch. With a sort of a heart. A wizened specimen, but still there, just about.

She's deliciously bad, and I love her.

I'm with the joy of pat and Cyril and Shirley here.

Not massively impressed with all the she's nowt to look at posts either.

The woman is a babe, she looks great and her go on impress me attitude is a magnet to a certain kind of man.

Yeah she is evil if you look at it objectively but she is evil in very entertaining ways.

I very rarely have sympathy with the things she does but I could still watch her do them all day.

Fourthed! (Is that word?). Of course we'd all run a mile from her irl, but surely to anyone who treats the show as the fiction that it is, then The Fabulous Charity is possibly the most consistently entertaining character on the show.

Anyway, it must be true - SULLA says so.

I used to love the character Charity... but her behaviour... leaves me aghast.... she looks cheap her hair particularly greasy lank and no matter how you dress it up... she looks like a hooker in pricey jacket... Debbie... is a cut off the old block in every way

In what way does she look like a hooker?

What does a hooker even look like? We know she has prostituted herself in the past but does that show on her face?

Cheap and easy insult to throw at any woman you don't like.

Well said ally. It's the same with Leanne in Corrie, who has never, and will never, escape the 'prozzie' tag either - just cos she did what she felt she had to do years and years ago when she couldn't see any other options. Sure, Charity is some piece of work, but 'prozzie' shouldn't be some sort of lifelong tag.

Cheap jibes are never justified imo.

bib: Not really. He also likes Corrie's Sean.

Can't stand Charity I wish she would go on an extended break and take Debbie with her. I have never liked this character even when she first came into the soap and all that turgid rubbish with Cain, round and round they went never getting anywhere. Boring.

When I read the title of this thread, I have to add 'bah-dah bah-baaaah' to the end of it.

Charity Cheerleaders! For me, a lot of it's down the the absolutely evil glee with which Emma Atkins plays her. She's amazing. Plus, gorgeous. An older, sexy, naughty, gleeful, bad woman, but still with a tiny bit of humanity lurking in there. What's not to love?

Agree definitely.....I feel quite envious of her now

I would like a storyline that pushed her into a corner to see if she would put money over her children ....like an abduction storyline where they wanted all her wealth and home farm in exchange for the return of her kids .

She pays for it though, like all soap divas. All those broken relationships and bruised hearts. Ending up with nothing and having to claw her way back up. I've got a feeling she's got a pretty big fall coming. But I love that she survives, every time.

She has to have her comeuppance soon and in all fairness it is due......but she's a strong northern lass and as long as her kids stand by her she'll survive......

She looks like a Hooker... because no matter what she wears.. she still looks CHEAP...

it's an opinion... that you find hard to comprehend what is it you do not understand ? that not everyones character or behaviour or manner is to all our tastes... or is that beyond your understanding.... there's only YOUR opinions matters ?

and I'm talking about the CHARACTER.. not the actress..

They don't need to 'soften her up', as far as I'm concerned. She will always have my love and support no matter what she does. Especially when she's getting rid of VILE folk such as Rachel, and the equally VILE Archie for upsetting my precious Charity so much.

Team Charity, all day, every day. Charity really makes the show, for me, but every time she gets a "big" storyline, I worry. I don't want them to push her too far and get silly ideas such as killing her off for a cheap whodunit or other such nonsense.

I love when she's full-on Queen Bitch, but I also love seeing her vulnerable side. She's a character I just love to watch, regardless of her actions.

By far my favourite character across all soaps.

Credit to Emma Atkins. I hope she remains on the show for many more years

I cannot wait to see Charity and Declan both get their comeuppance.
As despicable as I find Charity, I have a grudging respect for how fast she thinks on her feet when she gets found out on something. I remember when Declan found her birth control pills, and she managed to talk her way out of him chucking her out of Home Farm like she deserved.

She's still prostituting herself... She charges more but she's basically a prossie.
