Early on Charity rarely had loyalty to her family, barely interacted with them and hardly showed any empathy towards them.
More recently we've seen her close bond with Chas, her caring about her children, showing guilt about what she did to Sam and regularly popping round the dingles and showing interest in their lives.
I would argue that she does actually love her family, although she has a funny way of showing it at times.
I'm have one foot in the TEAM "abouttimepeopleknewthetruthaboutArchie" camp and the other in the TEAM "meganfindsoutabouttheabortion" camp. Don't get me wrong I'm all for a "good" baddie but, some of Charity's stunts have made me turn over.
I really didn't like how Declan and Charity threatened Dan and his family. The sooner she (and Decan for that matter) gets her comeuppance the better.

leopards never change their spots.... she only cares about her family when she needs them for something... she used boybrat as a weapon against Jai, just this week she used Debbie in a lie to Declan, she knew that Chas knows about teh abortion so she was doing all she could to keep her on side.... she didn't hesitate to sell Sam down the road.
Nope, she has no redeeming factors at all. The oly reason she's being given a softer side right now is because the end is nigh for her and they want people to feel sympathy for her so they can redeem her all the quicker and I'm afraid you've fallen for it hook, line, sinker and rod.

Charity had an abortion because she just couldn't face having another child. But she passed it off as a miscarriage to Declan because he was determined they have the baby. He still doesn't know.
She genuinely loved Jai, but couldn't handle it when it all came out that he'd had a baby with Rachel. She engineered Rachel having to leave and take the kid with her as a way of taking revenge.
Megan isn't married - she's just seeing Jai (while Jai has an affair with Leyla on the side).
Katie and Declan were estranged when she found out he'd had a ONS with Charity, and then she had the same with Adam. They finally got divorced when she realised he'd been trying to cover up the finding of Alex's body on his doomed glamping site.

OK, so Charity did actually try to forgive Jai for having Archie with Rachel, but she couldn't get past it. Declan torched Home Farm because he was bankrupt, and Charity found him having a nervous breakdown. She took him home and sorted him out a bit, then came up with a plan which involved framing Sam, so Declan would be off the hook, and they could claim the insurance together. Sam got arrested, then Charity told Rachel she had set Sam up, and basically made Rachel go to the police and admit it was her, to get Sam off the hook. Rachel "confessed", Sam was released, but while Rachel was on bail, Charity paid her to leave with Archie, as a way of getting revenge on Jai.

You're welcome! Great time to start getting back into the show. The potential fallout from Charity's termination, when Declan finds out, and he will, has the potential to be more radioactive than Sellafield.
Charity will never win mother of the year but now she is a way better mother to the kids .....

when you compare Charity to Kim tate...well there's just no comparison. KT was evil and selfish through and through but somehow still managed a certain amount of class... The other one played by Patsy Kensit again.. nasty, evil and selfish but still classy... you couldn't say the same about charity.
