Give Sonia Fowler a storyline!
Sonia's return has been a huge letdown. She hardly gets any screen time and although I did like the cancer gene and the Sonia/Tina/Tosh bits nothing became of them.
Get Martin back and give Sonia a storyline or Natalie Cassidy will be out the door again. |

Her exit storyline would be most welcome. She has somehow managed to become even more self righteous and arrogant than she was when she left in 2007. I don't know how Martin has put up with her for so long. I'd love to see Martin back without Sonia.

Sonia will never be axed. I think people on here forget just how many awards Natalie used to win for EastEnders. DTC has also said on a number of occasions that Sonia is one of his favourite characters and Natalie has also said she has no intention of leaving.

Maybe she "used" to win awards but she also made a lot of people happy when she left.
I would like her to have a storyline though, one where she goes back to Martin (with Rebecca) and lives happily ever after with him off screen. (preferably taking Carol with her)! |

I have to disagree OP. I grew to hate Sonia towards the end of her first stint and wasn't looking forward to her comeback however I must say I've been pleasantly surprised by her since she returned but I think that's down to her not being rammed down our throats like last time. Shes managed fit into the background very well I don't think her return has been a let down at all I think it's been handled very well.

I think she works better as a supporting character.

I actually think Sonia's return has been successful. Too many characters come back with an "explosive bang" only to be left hanging around with nothing to do.
Her return has been storyline and character driven. She didn't come back because she was in "crisis" or because she has a "dark secret". the purpose of her comeback was to be there for Carol. |
