It will be 25 years of the Mitchells next year. Will Steve finally win an award and be honoured?
I think EastEnders owe an awful lot to the character of Phil. |

He's too young to be winning such an award.

![]() I think the character of Phil is too big and too important to UK soap to let his milestone go unawarded. This guy caused a power serge on the national grid back in 2001! |

McFadden should be the next one from EastEnders to get it due to his (almost) continuous run of 25 years. After him it should be Letitita Dean since she's been there on and off for 30 years. All the other biggys from EastEnders have gotten it haven't they? June Brown, Adam Woodyatt, Wendy Richard, Pam St. Clement, Barbara Windsor? Has Gillian Taylforth gotten it yet? She's been in so many soaps she must be due some recognition.

It probably will be Steve I'd imagine. Unless someone from Corrie is in line for it.

They're lucky to have him after the 2011-2013 disaster, he will stay loyal to the show now the wonderful dtc is using him to the best of his ability! He deserves it, that's for sure!
there was all the Ben, Denise, Heather stuff plus the many ups and downs of him and Shirley.Steve has always been very loyal to EastEnders. He is their best actor and Phil an icon and a legend. |

I only just took a look in on this thread to see the extent to which people care about things like this and why.................Sincerely it would be amongst the very last things that would ever cross my mind even if I was desperate to contribute a thread to a forum but I don't say that in a disrespectful way to people who do but more in a fascinated way.

I imagine Steve McFadden wouldn't feel very comfortable winning this award.

Also with Shirley, the wedding, Ben and Sharon's revenge this Autumn it looks like there's a lot of Phil action.

Emmerdale deserves it... Chris Chittell. Richard Thorp deserved it but was never awarded.
