What a nasty piece of work Gross really is. Found out she was dying and now hates her and is prepared to go and blab to everyone to get 'payback' on a dead person.
He has been getting on my nerves since beating half to death that OAP for no real reason.
Thought most of them tonight were in overacting mode. Just felt too stilted.

Tonight's episode was another good one. I was imagining a tourist entering the Woolpack hoping for a quaint, country pub but the first thing they see being a grown man blubbing by the fireplace.

He had it coming Ross knew about the forged Green Shield Stamps in the 1970s.

Evening all not joining you tonight - out on the "lash"

Not that I'd ever wish to defend Crybaby or Adumb, but them getting sidetracked didn't actually cause Donna's death did it? They were always going to meet Gary on that roodtop to hand over the photos, he was always going to have somebody there ready to shoot them if they didn't co-operate so it didn't make any difference to what Donna decided to do.

Fairly good episode though - April is the cutest soap kid there has been for a very long time - probably since Tom Cunningham when he was very small.

Can't believe they've killed off lovely Donna, and replaced her with Crybaby Aaron.

"Some viewers might find upsetting"

Be warned Star, they might not have a party
LOL!

Why they telling Bob?
She must have had him down as her next of kin, makes sense as she was working back in the North.

What happened to the sniper then? How come he didn't take Ross out?
Perhaps he was in a state of shock after seeing a copper pretty much murder his boss?!

She was how old ?, hardly a kid.
When you're Bob's age 20's is a kid. I'm late 40's and drive my 20-odd-year old kids mad calling them 'kids'

Donna should have told Bob the truth
She should have. She was wrong not to tell him, finding out like this is much worse. Especially when people like Paddy and Rhona knew who aren't even family! That would be quite hurtful.

Bob is determined to ruin other peoples meals sitting in the pub
Like you'd do that in the pub and not ask to see Marlon through the back *roll eyes*

I can only think that he was so grief stricken he didn't know what he was doing!

Its Aaron

Kwynne goes into overdrive
He's got such a bloomin' miserable face. Should have 'Gloom' written on his forehead.

At least Kwynne didn't have to spend his time with his finger on the fast-forward button as he wasn't in much!

Aaron should have beat the crap out of him after all the abuse Adumb gave him last night. Ungrateful idiot.
He's bloody useless

Dobbeh inadvertently makes things worse for Ross...
... when she was trying to help, LOL!

Thump him Bob! You'll feel better.

Well, I will anyway.
It would have got all that punt up frustration out of him wouldn't it?

Its what Donna would have wanted,,,,,,,,,,,,,Classic
Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

FFS! He's been back 5 minutes and it's started already!!!!

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

**** off Aaron.

Laurel had better watch out, that's both of Moron's ex-wives dead. He's the black widower of the dales.
Good point. Stay with him Laurel, there's a good girl.

So Brenda has already managed to bring Gennie up into it, how long before Bob mentions "my Dawn"
I think it's natural under the circumstances TBH.

What a nasty piece of work Gross really is. Found out she was dying and now hates her and is prepared to go and blab to everyone to get 'payback' on a dead person.
'tis the grief Collie, 'tis the grief.
That and Debbie

(who I found surprisingly likeable tonight)

Yes I must admit; the actors who play bob brenda and ross were super in the episode
Agreed.

i thought it was an excellent episode -
all actors superb -

Marlon didnt over react it was always going to hit him hard having to keep such a big secret and being Aprils Dad

I actually thought Debbie redeemed herself in this episode, she clicked and saw it from Donnas point of view and 'got it'

Ross's reactions totally believable "Does she love me, was she using me" witnessing her death when he loved her i totally sympathised with him. Im hoping theres a little envelope in her memory box for him so he finds out the truth, but knowing soapland there wont be and he will be on a destruction path for quite some time.

Bob lashed out to blame someone, just as many of us do when someone we love dies, you try and lie blame somewhere its a natural process of grief

A big well done to the whole cast i thought it was great and no one over reacted or underacted - unless loss has smacked you in the face and you've seen an abundance of different emotions im sure it got to you too Its easy to slate a tv programme, but i for one couldnt bawl my eyes out with loads of camera men stood around me.
BIB: Agreed. It wasn't nice what he said but I can see why he's hurt and angry and as Donna isn't here to take it out on Marlon will do.

Not that I'd ever wish to defend Crybaby or Adumb, but them getting sidetracked didn't actually cause Donna's death did it? Yeah, but I suppose Adam doesn't know that and just thinks that if Aaron hadn't got in the way he'd have been able to do his bit properly. Or summat like that.

Did I just stick up for Adam? *eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!*

*faints*

Lotty broke the thread

And then she stuck up for Adumb

Don't worry Lotty - I found myself defending James Barton a couple of weeks ago

Why they telling Bob?
He runs the cafe

And Viv is long gone!
I share your grief.

Oh I did not realise. They did not have any kind of relationship
We don't get shown everything that happens in the village

best fall from a carpark since Alf Roberts in get Carter
You're a big man Alf, but you're in bad shape. With me it's a full time job. Now behave yourself Alf.

Bob's great. He really deserves some happiness.
Yes he is great

I wont

Adumb, shut your mouth

He was not a nutter, he was our much loved yellow teeth. We should have a minute's silence and open a book of condolence and set up a pile of flowers for him where it happened .........
Daffodils ?

Ross's ears are very erect tonight!
So as his nose.

But rich of Debola I thought to tell Ross not to ruin April's life when she ruined little Molly's life by helping to murder her mother! Stupid hypocritical bitch

I thought Michael Parr really excelled in showing Ross's grief tonight. It was just a shame he couldn't have vented it against a much better character/actress than Debbie.

Analysis Central brings you a brilliant new feature which will run and run

The Amazingly supremely brilliantly wonderful acting involved in the Aaron character part 1

Aaron hears that Donna is Dead

Aaron strokes his stubbly chin pondering and vaguely alarmed like he always does when he starts a dramatic scene
Aaron licks his lips in distress
Aaron furrows his brow in alarm as he wonders what he's got himself into and what it means for him
Aaron furrows some more
What he says trembling in the manner he has heard his tea has gone cold
and that's about it

This in an episode when even Bob manages to act for the first time in 10 years
and Charley Webb fulfils 1 day of her annual brilliant actor quota of 6, she has it written into her contract she's allowed to coast the rest of the year.

Tune in next time for part 2 of this new Feature

Poor little april ,,, just by sitting there she is out acting the adults
Considering the Adults that really not difficult, a guinea pig could out act Paddy and frequently does.

She's annoyed that someone died and she had nothing to do with it.
Come now Charley obliged by fulfilling one of her six day a year of her quota of proper acting for this episode give her some credit.
