The day has finally arrived for Abi. After studying for her exams for the last 100 years she gets her results one day latter than all the other students on the UK. Will she pass or will we and her family be forced to see another 100 years of her moaning about her exams?

Jay arranges a good riddance/congratulations party of her but Lola notices that Jay is preoccupied and reminds him that this is what abi wants, a Abi however wants to make her own confession to Jay.

Elsewhere in the square Linda hides roses from a Mick think they are from Dean and Sharon apologises to The Carters for King Philth's behaviour the night before.

Philth meanwhile has other matters of his own and takes Rainine on a trip....

Today marks the the 6th anniversary of one of soaps most famous pooches death. Wellard Jackson joined the square as a stray dog on 18/10/94 and lived for 14 years till his death on the square until his death on 15/08/08

Local idiot and Jackson clan member Robbie adopted who he thought was a stray dog and named him Wellard. Mr Hammond who was Wellard's original owner demanded him back but Robbie successfully argued that Wellard deserved a better home after discovering injuries on the poor dog.
Willard lived with the Jackson clan and cause great mischief on the square. Wellard fell in love with Freida Mitchell dog of Grant. Frieda became pregnant with puppies but despite being best not pleased the hard man was brought to tears as the puppies were still born.
Wellard's and Robbie's friendship ended when Robbie met a girl and decided to move to India to be with her. After Wellard gets hurt in a car accident he left in the care of Market Cleaner Gus care.
Whilst in Gus care Wellard got into trouble by biting local business man Ian's bum. Gus and his friend Dean fight to save the dog from being put down and is aided by Lucy and Peter Beale who provide statements on Wellards behalf.
Wellard is saved but Once again love gets in the way between a dog and his owner, Wellard ends up in the care of Mickey Miller who then returns the dog to a newly back in the square Bianca.
Wellard spends many happy years with Banshee Bianca and he children Whitney, Liam, Tiffany and Morgan but some how Wellard ends up swallowing Chocolate which is poisonous for dogs.
Wellard died aged 14 after developing complications with his loving family around him and buried in the Allotments of the Square.


Wellard is an Alsatian breed and was played by three females dogs.

Wellard joins the list of square dogs which includes Roly, Freida, Willy,Terri, Rocky,Dusty,Gengist,Sugar,Betty, Lady Di and Tramp.

Wellard has had 4 owners the last being Bianca Jackson

Wellard was killed of due to the fact that he would be over 100 in dogs years. Despite the fact that he was on the square for 14 years, nobody knows the actual age of Wellard as he arrived in the square as an adult dog.

Wellard once was rock n roll and took drugs and got hangover

I agree. I can't stand the dreadful Rainie and can't understand WHY they have brought this gutter rat back. She really is dreadful, Cora is better off without her. The only use in life for Rainie is being a bollard and she'll be crap at that!

Rainie is played by a good actress but the character is so annoying. I think a dark death is whats needed and of course it gives Cora something else to do.

Yes, I have seen the actress in other things and she is good, unfortunately she has managed to help create a character you have quite frankly NO sympathy for and nobody would careless if she was found dead in a wood somewhere.

Alfie is an important character and I don't want anymore iconic characters being killed off anytime soon. I think the next one should be Dot when June has enough or gets ill.
