I think so it did spend a second week at number 2. coincidentally outselling both those songs .

I remember when It's The Way You Make Me Feel was released it was released on New Year's Day although some music store had it in the week before so people were buying it a week early and it was able to chart early at the lower end of the chart before it was properly released. I think I read in the paper that if that hadn't happened it would have sold enough copies to be number 1.

'Groove Is In the Heart' actually was equal number 1 seller one week but they wrongly gave the actual number 1 slot to the other equal top seller as its increase in sales was higher. The rules changed after this so that there can now be equal sales and shown as such in the chart.

I remember.

They were kept off number 1 by Steve Miller Band's "The Joker" (which had just been used in a Levis's ad)

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Wham's double a side "Last Christmas" / "Everything She Wants" which is the biggest selling #2 single of all time in the UK. As for "Moves Like Jagger", after it's sixth week at #2, it was set to go to #1 on the official chart update on 5 October 2011. If "We Found Love" was released the following Sunday which it should have been, "Moves Like Jagger" would have finally got to #1.

Adele - "Chasing Payments" and "Skyfall"
Sugababes - "Get Sexy" (controversial, but it was better than dirge from Rihanna and Kayne "Run This Town")
George Michael - "Star People", "Outside" and "You Have Been Loved"
Wham! - "Last Christmas"
Mariah Carey - "We Belong Together"
Britney Spears - "Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman"
Whitney Houston - "My Love Is Your Love"

The Wanted - "Lightning" and "Chasing The Sun"

Kylie Minogue "Better The Devil You Know" in my opinion should have been No1 but was beaten by Adamski's "Killer"

I remember Ricky Martin's Livin La Vida Loca stopped a few acts getting to number 1. Like Five and Steps.

She spent two weeks at number 2. She also got kept off by Need U (100%) by Duke Dumont featuring A*M*E. In the end, she had the last laugh when her song sold more copies than both songs put together.

Good call from Fanntastik, with Madonna's Ray Of Light.”

Agree with all those Mr H. Upside Down is 100 times more interesting than Chain Reaction and Temptation, Sweet Dreams and Milkshake are sublime.
