Scandalous is such a funky good song, that is also the last one I remember from them.
And I like Alesha Dixon, she comes across very down to earth, to me anyway

The latter being one of my favourites as a teenager. Probably as I had a thing for girls with short hair.

Speaking of which, Torn is a very complicated affair in my country. We had (or still have) 2 different charts (both broadcasted on the radio on different days) and one says it did chart at no. 1 for one week and according to the other it peaked at no. 2 (being eclipsed in both instances (in the end) by Together Again from Janet Jackson). So, for me it DID peak at no. 1 in my own country (might still have the proof somewhere in the attic).

Except it isn't. All About That Bass is annoying, overplayed and accompanied by an awful chorus that makes no sense. Shake It Off is a fun, catchy track.

You may not like Taylor, but a lot of people do, and it isn't hard to see why; she is a talented, hard-working young woman who is a brilliant role model. She doesn't sexualize her material to make it sell, and has produced some very catchy, brilliant pop songs, some of which, like Shake It Off, should have made the top spot.
