ED - What was in the envelope?
Harlowe

I've missed some bits of Emmerdale what was the photos in the envelope that the curly hair fella wanted from Donna? I'm guessing there of a vile nature from Donna's reaction.

Think it was kiddie porn which is why he taunted Donna by saying that April would end up in the same boat if Donna didn't cooperate, so she finally took the opportunity to finish him and wish him to hell. Interesting but subtle way to tackle two horrible subjects with a twist ending. Well acted from all concerned.

Judging by how repulsed Donna was, I'm guessing it was a pair of season tickets for Leeds United.

They didn't tell us but it was obviously something very bad apparently involving children. I'd guess it was actually him raping them as if he wasn't in it himself they wouldn't be able to tie him into the crime but I guess he could argue they had been doctored or were inadmissable due to how Donna got them - no search warrant etc. So, he'd have got off and come after April - hence Donna taking the chance to kill him. Still, you'd his associates might still target Donna's family as revenge unless they are glad to be rid of him too!

Maybe kids being abused during a Leeds united game?

He threatened to kill April, so I'd assume him beating someone up badly.

He didn't actually say he'd kill her. He'd said the same thing would happen to her and her friends as was happening in the photos. Hence most people believing it to be child pornography.

Yeah but when he found out Donna planted the cocaine in his house, he threatened to kill April if Donna didn't stay away from Ross. I just assumed he was reiterating his threat when she saw the photos

Je's probably capable of both but I got the impression that whatever was on the photos was actually 'worse' than being killed as he said 'so now you know what I'm capable of' and she already knew he was prepared to kill people from his threats and having a somebody with a gun on here.

At the end of the day we won't know for sure - they left it ambiguous and open to interpretation but my reading of it was child pornography.

Ah okay thanks. I guess they'll never confirm it, child pornography seems a bit dark for ED to mention

Verity did an interview which said it was child pornography so Donna took the only action she could to protect April

Well yes it would be too dark for them to come right out and say it which I think they left it an implication and up to the viewers to decide. Basically if you're too young to know about it as a pre watershed audience might well be, it wouldn't occur to you as a possibility or need to be explained in more detail but for Olde viewers, the possibility is there.

Thanks for that - good toat it has been confirmed even if off screen and as I say, it does make sense given the dialogue.

Only Uncle Quentin could make such a brilliant comment!
Well done Uncle Q for putting a bit of lightheartedness into the posts.

I think there will be some veiled mention at some stage.
Doesn't April disappear this week?
