After tonight's episode many people have been speculating that Phil may of finished Rainie off to silence her for good, however, in script previews that have been released, Rainie features once again with Cora and there was even a point where it was speculated that Rainie may even move into the Square (not actually confirmed.)

Just thought I'd post this to those who panic that the character of Rainie is going to be no longer leading to a potential return for Tanya.

That was the thought that crossed my mind, I kind of hope she does and hope that there's a chance of her coming clean and making something of her life now that she would have a roof over her head.

I reckon softie Phil checked Rainie into rehab and in a few weeks she'll call Cora. Phil is terribly written. Every episode he has a different personality.

This wouldn't be such a bad idea because he does seem to be a little bit on the softer side lately, the Mitchells are no longer, well... Mitchells really.

It would be good, now that both Tanya and Ava are off the Square, Rainie could come in and be the alternative to them to bounce off both Max and Cora, scenes with those 3 would be pretty good I imagine.

I think he did and that's what he had the money for.

Phil bullied the crack addiction out of her.

They need grant and peggy back, maybe too, ronnie and ben are also returning, the family is so messed up ATM... They'd gather an audience of 22 million at one point, they need restructuring

I don't class Ronnie and Roxy though as they were never original Mitchells, Bens return will be a pretty big flop IMO.

Grant and Peggy need to return definitely! There needs to be a Mitchell business that they can all run like when they were the family running The Vic, it makes more sense seeing them all in the working environment that the audience are used to seeing them in. Hopefully the new set will bring a new Mitchell empire when it's finally built!

I think he's been brilliantly written.

He obviously sympathises with Rainie because he's been through the same issues she has.

And the fact that they went through the stage together so I'm wondering if he's thought "well I got through it so now it's your turn"

Phil is so powerful, one state into Rainie's eyes and her addiction was cured. Tune in next week to see King Phil raise Lucy from the dead and get Stacey out of prison!

I don't know why characters are even supposed to scared of phil he may have kidnapped a few in his time but he never so much as even killed a fly and he isn't capable of it either, he was always more soft than hard but in recent years he has defiantly became softer, he probably gave her a few quid and waved her off he isn't capable of doing anything else

I'd much rather Tanya on the square than Abi IMO, her and Max back together would be good, as long as DTC can ensure that they stay together this time!

Rainie deserves a spot on the show but no way do I want to see Tanya ever again. I'm sure Rainie is perfectly capable of handling a story line or two on her own or with Cora.

I don't think Phil is brilliantly written but they do try to convey that like most 'wrong un's' he is a complex character. Often imo they fail miserably to convey this however I agree that he and Rainie share addictive personalities, were they not bed bunnies when Phil was doing crack? Prehaps he feels sorry for her that he is clean and she is still a mess?

I love to see more of Rainie, I think her and Phil could be interesting but it's mostly cause I think Tanya Franks is a brill actress and Rainie was sort of sideline with Tanya taking centre stage all the time.

I always liked the contrast between Rainie and Tanya - it was like that whole good sibling/bad sibling thing. Phil and Rainie were interesting but I don't think I would see them as a 'couple', besides the drugs, there isn't really any common ground between them and I would much prefer to see Rainie/Cora. I don't see her as a long term character but she is a good character and Tanya Franks plays her well.

I agree with what we saw of them was interesting, my bugbear with Tanya was that I always found her too engrossed by Max that she never really got the chance to stand on her own as a character.

I think the aspect I liked of them not as a couple but when she was sober, they sort of had a understanding due to their addictions and had some nice scenes.

I hope she stays around longer this time.
