People around the world oppressed, impoverished, getting murdered daily. Tragedy?

No, the real tragedy is a bolshy woman winning a reality TV show. Hilarious that the smug, supposedly intelligent, savvy and decent viewers choose this, of all things, to get hysterical about. Now, where's old rolleyes when you need it?

People have a thing called values. When values are made a mockery of this way live on tv then people are going to be pissed off. Without values you are nothing. Like it seems a lot of the people on this forum.

You missed my point entirely. The people that supposedly have these 'things called values' (how patronising) are wasting their anger and money on a poxy TV show. If they acting like idiots over it, indulging in the demonising of someone who's been at worst unpleasant, then they need to wake up to the real world.

The public liked her, they paid their money for her to win.

On the contrary. Have you read the forum? People are taking pains to portray this as a reflection of some mass social breakdown, suggesting, for instance, that people who voted for Helen can't complain if their kids are bullied. It's pathetic.

Yes I've read it but I bet you as well as me has exaggerated before. I get their point though. People have basically agreed with bullying and downright nasty behaviour tinight

Ashleigh was guilty of much the same (Christopher wasn't, to be fair), but there wouldn't have been any of the same reaction had she won.

Helen winning was not a tragedy it was a farce.

Sorry, I can't make head nor tail of that post. Punctuation is your friend.

None of these things are usually discussed on a Big Brother thread though.

This is so true. Ashleigh has been a mean girl just like Helen throughout but for some reason people can't see that because she is good looking.

I guarantee if Ashleigh wasn't pretty and didn't put on her nice girly voice with her teddy bear and pink dressing gown they would see that she isn't all that nice herself.
