Ken and Dierdre's Decor!

Can anyone remember the last time Ken and Deidre decorated? In years and years of watching I don't recall seeing it with different wallpaper, surely they would have decorated a least once since the house was left to them by Albert years ago? Also, their furniture looks about 100 years old, that chaise longue, couch thing looks so uncomfortable and the chair that matches it wedged against the kitchen door, it just looks ridiculous.

They put the kitchen extension on didn't they? I think that's about it.

'Tis a shrine to Uncle Albert and so can never be changed.

40 years ago Uncle Albert thought it was far too modern.

It's a William Morris design.......could have been changed many times for 'new' paper.just the same pattern. As neither of them were related to 'uncle Albert' (he was Val's uncle) I really don't understand it, having said that my sister has a houseful of my grandmother's furniture, mostly given when she was alive i.e my grandmother;s junk! I don't understand that either

Ken and Deirdre love it and if Rob isn't complaining about it I can't see the problem....

No. 1 has been re-decorated loads of times over the years, but with similar wallpaper every time. Same goes for Emily's house. That's why they both look as ancient as hell.

Then again I much prefer Ken and Deirdre's decor to Kirk and Beth's. Did they really plaster wallpaper on their kitchen doors and cupboards???

I thought they were going to use Becky trashing Number 1 to redecorate, but that didn't happen.

LOL. I remember fuming when she forced her way in with that sledgehammer. If she ever dared touch Blanche or Uncle Albert's photos...
