As there been a time where you thought, hold on this person was cast in the wrong role because of looks or storyline??

Nikki looks & sounds too much like mandy. She joined too close to Mandy leaving that it was the wrong casting.

Annette Badland. Could they not have got her to put on a different accent for the part? I just keep seeing Slitheens and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Jac Jossa as Lauren initially, but I feel she fits the role a lot more these days.

The last Bobby Beale. far too posh.

Alison Newman should have been cast as a regular character not in the minor role of a police officer.

What other accent could she possibly have put on?! She's doing an East-End accent. You could hardly have good old Aunt Babe who keeps popping down with a trifle from hartlepool!

Joshua Pascoe as Ben. Could't stand to watch him & thought he was entirely wrong for the part.

Every time Aunt Babe appears I'm half expecting her to start unzipping her head and turn the same colour of green that Shirley does everytime she sees Phil and Sharon together.

Agree with the last Ben and the last Bobby

Babe would be fabulous if she came from Wigan and spoke like Johnny Vegas. Hell, even better if she was played by Johnny Vegas.

The Peter Beale (Whatsisname) who came between Joseph Shade and Thomas Law.
Aaron Sidwell as Steven Beale, as a replacement for Edward Savage.

I totally agree. She was so wrong for the role and unconvincing as Lucy Beale. I'm glad they've killed off Lucy for this reason. Really, we haven't had Lucy on screen since Melissa left.
If they were so insistent on re-casting they should have chosen better.
Don't get me wrong, Hetti is a very capable actor and at times was a wonder to watch. They just gave her the wrong role.
Perhaps they could have brought her in as a young girl working in the city, linked to Danny. She worked well with Danny and Janine.

This. No question.

Johnny Vegas comes from Saint Helens.

It might have livened the Carters up though, if "Babe" had been a cuddly (ahem), northern transvestite.

Nope, you are not the only one, keep waiting for everything to fall to the floor and the creature to pop out.

I actually disagree with people saying Hetti was the wrong actress to play Lucy.

Hetti's Lucy still embodied the recognisable traits of Melissa's Lucy (bitchy, spiteful, self-assured, sometimes unlikeable) but she was just portraying a more mature, grown-up version. Melissa's version left as a teenager whereas Hetti's Lucy came in as a young woman. I might be in the minority here but I much prefer Hetti's Lucy (Melissa grated on me) - I just think the writing and lack of material let her down. Her last few weeks on the show proved that she certainly is a capable actress.

Fully agree with all of the above. The Melissa-love/Hetti-hate on DS can get a bit ridiculous at times.
