I wonder what they would have done to celebrate?

I liked the 2001 version of Crossroads and remember being quite miffed at why the hell they chopped and changed it so much in 2003.

They should bring it back and have it how it was in 2001... but it'll never happen!

ITV Studios would have to find a new base for the facade and interior scenes now the location used in 2001 & 2003 is part of the University of Nottingham!

It's a shame it became a camp farce the third time around; and whilst it hasn't been on air now for 11 years ITV should have acknowledged it's existence.....

They could've had Lee Latchford Evans staying at the Motel again!

Absolutely. The actual anniversary isn't until 2nd November though, so still enough time to have something respectful prepared, but there hardly seems to have been a whisper to indicate that so far.

There does appear to be a very professional and interesting dvd on the horizon, however, which has been in the works for some time, from the ever loyal fan community, which should offer some serious alternative commemoration, which ITV have remained all too quiet on so far.

I'm sure it would still be on air if the 2001-02 version had been left alone

When they brought it back in 2001 I loved the storyline with the Sarah-Jane imposter and the whole "is she/isn't she?" thing. After she left and the real dull as dishwater Sarah Jane arrived, it got boring.

Amy Turtle would be about 150 now! Crossroads was great even with its creaky scenery and the cast famously forgetting their lines. One of the first soaps! I also remember Noel Gordon as Meg Richardson winning the most popular person award year after year and they rewarded her by............ sacking her!
