Hello all and welcome to the 3rd Annual DS Soap Forum Awards. Back due to popular demand, this year's awards promise to be the biggest yet. It's just a fun thread so don't take it too seriously. It's a chance for us all to come together as a forum (my favourite forum on here) plus this forum is quite quiet on the weekends. Feel free to debate some of the soap awards or tell us who you've voted for, you might want to keep the forumer ones private or maybe not. 
All the awards are positive so there'll be no negativity on this thread.

Many bonds have been formed and there’s some notable double acts on the forum that could pass for an old married couple. This is a chance to award posters who bounce off each other really well.

The title is self-explanatory really.
31. BEST EPISODE REVIEWER
The episode threads are always a highlight for me on here. Some prefer to review the episode whilst it’s ongoing, others wait until it’s finished, some even multiquote.
32. BIGGEST HATER OF A CHARACTER/SOAP
Everyone has characters they dislike, some struggle to hide their disdain for certain ones and or even certain soaps.
33. EYECATCHING THREAD TITLE OF THE YEAR
A thread title can sometimes draw you into a thread or prevent you touching it with a bargepole.
34. SMILEY ABUSER/USER OF THE YEAR
Last year we almost lost our smilies when they were temporarily replaced by yellow blobs. We realised how much they help us to express ourselves and they were widely missed. This award is in honour of them. RIP mr. rolleyes.
35. POET/SONGWRITER OF THE YEAR
This also seem to crop up around the time of the redesign and it’s sort of continued from there.
36. BEST MULTIQUOTER
Multiquoter is someone who quotes multiple posts.
37. MOST IMPROVED POSTER
A poster that may have started posting more often, taken criticisms on board or learned from their mistakes.

The title is self-explanatory really.

The episode threads are always a highlight for me on here. Some prefer to review the episode whilst it’s ongoing, others wait until it’s finished, some even multiquote.

Everyone has characters they dislike, some struggle to hide their disdain for certain ones and or even certain soaps.
33. EYECATCHING THREAD TITLE OF THE YEAR
A thread title can sometimes draw you into a thread or prevent you touching it with a bargepole.
34. SMILEY ABUSER/USER OF THE YEAR
Last year we almost lost our smilies when they were temporarily replaced by yellow blobs. We realised how much they help us to express ourselves and they were widely missed. This award is in honour of them. RIP mr. rolleyes.
35. POET/SONGWRITER OF THE YEAR
This also seem to crop up around the time of the redesign and it’s sort of continued from there.

Multiquoter is someone who quotes multiple posts.
37. MOST IMPROVED POSTER
A poster that may have started posting more often, taken criticisms on board or learned from their mistakes.

A lot of new fanfictions have cropped up over the past year. A lot of time and effort is put into them and this is a chance to recognise them more specifically.
