Anyone think they may make Lauren pregnant in Eastenders now

I don't think it would be that bad to be honest as it may give the character some direction now.

However if they did I think who's the daddy story would be drafted quickly between dean and peter though

No as the actress that plays Lauren is already pregnant if they made Lauren pregnant the actress the plays Lauren will have already had her baby

Yes I know but they could easily do scenes now for quick transmission to fit in to replace planned stories for her

I think it would be too many babies, what with Kat, Cindy, and Ronnie all going through pregnancy in the space of a year.

She might just be around in time for the Lucy reveal. I imagine they'll use the strategically placed props and shoulders up camera shots for the scenes she had planned anyway, then send her off to live with Tanya because she's upset about the killer being revealed.

Let's just hope Tanya isn't on her way back otherwise it would be rehab for Lauren.

I think it'll be a repetitive storyline with her drinking and her going into rehab!

I really hope not. It's getting boring now making the women on soaps pregnant cos they don't really know what else to do with them.

think her getting stressed over the lucy killer and finding out deans using her, max and summerhayes is enough to tip her over and send her to rehab

I doubt it. One I don't see that as part of their plans for Lauren and two, I think they tend to shy off combining real life and fictional pregnancies as the logistics are too hard to work out timing wise. Unless they say that the character is very far along when they announce it (like they did with RoNnie in 2010 and real life pregnancy wise they did with Mary-Beth in Cagney and Lacey) or have an unreastic short pregnancy (Chrissie in Holby City gace birth only 6 months after miscarrying her last baby when Tina Hobley fell pregnant in 09) the actress will already have gone on maternity leave when they need her to act giving birth. Then how do they explain the character and baby just disappearing for 6 months? Plus, there is the dreadful possibility of the actress miscarrying and then needing to either act out the rest of the pregnancy and birth or the character's miscarriage - both of which would be emotionally traumatic.

100% this. Never a truer word spoken.

EE & Corrie are both terrible for it!

If I lived in the world of Walford, I'd be opening up a baby creche as we speak. What a missed business opportunity. There's babies springing up left right and centre, it's just a shame Jack 'the Sperminator' Branning has left otherwise as a business we'd be set for life.

I hope not. It's not a path her character needs to take at the moment. I can't stand it when real life pregnancies are written into shows, unless it is really needed. The magic of editing, camera angles and the use of props and clothing can do wonders to cover up a pregnancy.

I think there will be too many babies on the show if they did, so I am guessing no

I doubt it. They rarely write in real life pregnancies and the pregnancies under DTC seem to be for character development or because they are relevant to a plot. With Cindy pregnant alongside the Lucy story, I can't see a Lauren/Peter baby any time soon. I doubt Dean being a father would suit his story either.
