All the others sound was fine and from what I vaguely heard it was Ediths best performance. Vote Edith.

Its fair justice. Its a final the sound should of been double checked.
Edith to win.

Edith is always rubbish...unless she had a voice transplant then i doubt her performance was anything spectacular...vote for the person that entertains and sings with style...vote for adrian...

I want Ade to win but I think Edith's an interesting singer. It's a real shame it wasn't a level playing field on the final night. What with that and the phones stopping the BBC have really messed it up

Ok, I am wrong it would of been perfectly fine for it to happen to Kim and Adrian I suppose yeah ?

Edith probably asked to be put on first so she could get the most votes...if that is the case then it serves her right...

There's no conspiracy. It's just the sloppy production you expect from the BBC. Look at what happened with Davina and Jack Dee just a few minutes earlier

Conspiracy or no conspiracy it does hinder Edith to my mind everyone deserves a fair crack of the whip. As has been said sloppy production, but we do expect better these days from a live broadcast.

It was unfair on Edith and I hope it doesn't change how people vote (which I doubt at this stage), but even though I would like Kim to win, any of them would be fine tonight.

I've chilled out and accepted that all three finalists deserve to be there and have done a great job in raising loads of money. It's not that important who wins, just the cause tonight. I have chilled right out, it must be the wine.

How do you think she managed that? Witchcraft and voodoo? Or do you think they might have drawn names out of a hat or something equally innocuous? Bit too consiparcy theoryesque, that one.

I simply cannot believe the childish vitriolic rubbish that some people post on here. For goodness' sake, grow up!

Edith's sound was not right, but it hardly matters considering that only 10 minutes or so of text voting was possible. No conspiracy theories needed, for God's sake.

Steve.

I agree steve...it is just a way for her fans to try and get her more votes because she is in serious danger of leaving first...

What time did the vote lines close I thought it was 8:15?

I agree with the original poster. It was sloppy and the right tests should have been made. These things happen but it's bound to affect voting.

I think most logical people would conclude that a singing competition where the soundman mutes one singer and gets it right for the other two was a trifle distorted. Normal people would note a connection between sound being absent and singing. It is quite high on the list of no brainer problems solved early by mankind over the course of evolution. Its like making Arsenal play the Cup Final in wellington boots - the contest becomes void.

They needed to be more awake. its not as if they are doing an outside broadcast in Afghanistan. They should have made her do it again but the silly 10 minutes voting time wouldn't allow that. They at least ought to let her sing it with the sound on later.

There must have been a lot of people watching tonight who haven't watched all through and would have liked the chance to participate. Edith being knifed (NO MIC!!! = come on!) and the fact that the number to text to was off the edge of a non- widescreen TV made the whole thing a farce.

They should have just had the final yesterday or tomorrow. They could have got at least 4 million votes for a night of Fame Academy, and they've wasted that in favour of closing lines and only allowing you to text for a few minutes after the performances.

Hardly matters now.

Text voting only is going to be a big help for Edith imo

The fact that there was only text voting tonight, CERTAINLY evened it up for the BBC Radio One employee over Ade and Kim!

Agree with that.

What votes are counting. The ones from the SF? After the SF? Is the total as at 1900 big or small? if its big any winner is the person no one heard sing except for a few late text voters? Edith is now through with no one hearing her at more than 15% volume. which suggests lots of fans or lots of TVs turned up to full volume.

What happens now, do they add another text vote? Do they add it to a very big number or a small one or start again?
