Months ago I'd be on the forum 24/7 but nowadays I get bored very easily and move on to do something else. I feel that the spark from the forum had gone...
Does anyone else feel the same or I'm I just rambeling on..

I feel the same aswell but it's because there are less people posting as it's Summer and some people might have gone on Holiday or just taking a break from the forum in general.

I think it is poster related rather than soap related

I agree. Maybe the reason is soaps have lost their spark they had that's why less people come on here to talk about them.

I'm find this place bland... Before there used to be a lot of posts and loads of opinions to bounce off but these days it's dead and even when it's not dead it's very bland! Wouldn't anyone else agree?

They clamped down on the jokey threads because some posters didn't like them. As a consequence most of us are more cautious what we post these days as we don't want to offend anyone. Sadly it does mean the spark seems to have gone.

Its a blessing. No one should be on a forum 24/7.

I haven't been a member for all that long, but there does appear to be less activity than there once was.

I have to agree here.
I have thought for a while things were getting a bit stale.
I don't often have the chance to look on DS over the weekend, but here I am trawling through posts now looking for comments on Donna's Demise and am on the 3rd page and have not seen any comments yet. I don't want to start a thread yet in case someone already has.
I am an avid Corrie and Emmerdale fan (I don't watch Eastenders.... sorry to Eastenders fans, but each to what you like). but at the moment the majority of threads and posts seem to be Eastenders based, so that must be the most popular soap at the moment.
Saying that, I do think Corrie and Emmerdale have gone off a bit lately.
My comment on Donna's Demise?? It seemed a bit far fetched in my opinion.

My life got busier but I also barely post because of the tone of some posters. Sadly I am not the only one who feels this way as others left for that exact reason.
Also Scrabbler is right about the humour and clamp down. This used to provide light relief to the points I made above. Being on a forum is a choice and if you don't enjoy it anymore you simply stop coming on.

I feel violated now.

I'll give you half an hour to stop that, then I'm calling t'Polis.

Far too many members post slanderous remarks about soap stars they dislike. Such blatant lies, It puts people off. Just a few weeks ago I sent the link to Danny Dyer's agent regarding a thread in which a member was accusing him of being best friends with racists and hooligans. I'm not the only one who agrees this is going too far. Check out the Jac Jossa pregnancy thread.

Why did you go to that trouble for Danny Dyer? Also considering what he has been called in the past by the press, that's pretty tame. About the Jacqueline Jossa thread, don't read the daily mail. That's all I will say.

I've got bored because you can't have a decent debate, some posters can be quite rude/arrogant/I'm right your wrong (whether they mean to or not it comes across that way) and that just puts me off, so I spend less time on here.

Danny has the right to respond to anyone who is calling him a racist. You can be sued for saying such things. I hope they are in the process of locating that person.

Lesson to learn? dont post lies about people.

I suppose there's not been much interesting stuff going on in soaps. Tends to be big event followed by filler until two weeks later when the next big event comes.

Best of luck with that OnJ, but half the Yorkshire police force chucked herself off a roof the other week Rumour has it the remaining half hasn't come out of Bob's bog yet. It'll be tough for them to police innocent old me when there's criminals walking about scot free.

Two reasons I rarely visit these parts now -

1. The soaps have descended into generally depressing drivel with a lot of similarities in them. There has to be a long drawn out cancer story, an emotional screaming breakdown by a female and now one by a male too, the tougher the better. They are suffering from over exposure thanks to a number of years of increased weekly episodes and look as of they've basically run out of ideas.

2. You could tell what was going to happen in every soap for the next few weeks just by reading the thread titles on here. Those that didn't give the plot away usually contained a spoiler in the thread. A lot of people still actually prefer to wait to see a programme before finding out what happens in it surprisingly enough.

I blame Derek Branning. He's the cause of all this. He made DS boring after he left EE .

She wasn't a psycho just passionate but I do miss her, especially saying things such as "Phil wouldn't dig for Sharon!!" actually was that her that said that? Or has is it DS legend like "Get Den Watts, he'll know what to do?"

I think she also said he wouldnt dig with his hands.
I do miss Mona, especially with all these Carters, she'd go into overdrive.

Don't forget the time where she claimed Phil called Sharon by Shirley's name . I miss those ridiculous debates .
