I think that Iain should be fired, both on this task and on the previous tasks. I will start with this task. Iain did pull his weight, but at this stage of the process, that isn't enough. Roxie potentially made a few mistakes, but all of her thought processes made perfect sense and she went above and beyond to make sure that we won this task. I was online nearly all the time apart from a few hours yesterday, I made decisions (again, that made perfect sense) and I think that any mistakes that I did make were overshadowed by the huge amount of work that I put in, my skills at leading the team and the fact that we came up with something that we were all really passionate about and it was a close enough result that you asked us to defend it in the boardroom before you made a final decision. Iain worked hard, but at the end of the day his contribution did not match up to mine and Roxie's. All of the things that I set him to write were considerably shorter than what Roxie and I had written - for example, the ride descriptions etc. He pushed for decisions to be made that didn't quite make sense - for example, he wanted a Doctor Who attraction, which I gave due consideration to, but I decided very firmly not to go with because Doctor Who is not big in India at all. Iain was the one who pushed our science theme - I know I agreed with it, but it was apparently a reason that we lost, and Iain had a lot to do with that. He also was very adamant that we didn't go with our Indian culture theme, because it went against his own spiritual beliefs as a Christian. It's all very well to have personal beliefs like that, but it cannot come in the way of the task and I feel that Iain let it come in the way. Today, he did not help with the pitch - Roxie and I had to field all of the questions. He wrote a bit to contribute to it, but not as much as Roxie and I did.
In previous tasks, I feel that he has not been as strong as Roxie and I, and has hidden behind us a bit. He started off well with a good PM win in Week 3, but around Week 5 his contribution started to deteriorate. I wasn't on his team the second time that he was Project Manager, but he was quite criticised on that occasion. Last week, he was certainly the weakest link on our team, which can be seen in David's evaluation - myself and Roxie have quite positive feedback, and Iain's, whilst constructive, is not positive in the same way. And then there are the issues on this task as well. Iain had a very strong start, but in the last several tasks his contribution has gone way downhill, and there are people left like myself and Roxie whose contribution is remaining consistent, or is possibly going up (I feel as though I have improved from the start). It is possible that Iain has a slight disadvantage that he started in Week 3 so he didn't have as many opportunities to shine, but I can't help that and I don't feel that he should be kept in on sympathy due to that.
I didn't talk much about my own performance as that wasn't the question you asked, but I will if you would like me to.
