ok this week jay mitchell was firmly put in the frame for the murder of lucy beale. it started when the beale's held a press appeal for more information that the police released the cctv footage from the bus lucy took that night. it revelaed that a man in a west ham beanie hat got off at the same stop as lucy. fans realised that jay wore the same beanie hat on april fools day. it was quite obvious that jay had something to hide when everyone over at abi's party started watching the footage on the news.

he was later seen at the arches setting the hat on fire
abi on the other hand didnt fail her exams but never got into liverpool and according to her spend all morning looking for other options. max is going to hit the roof. she put on a brave face and told everyone she got in and only told jay in private. i have to say im glad the writers didnt make her fail her exams. i think it would have been quite a bad move if they had done so. and speaking of the brannings. now that the girl who plays lauren ins pregnant in real life does that mean lauren is going to fall pregnant after she sleeps with dean?? its certainly possible.

we also seen that phil was back to himself by throwing everyone out of the vic and paying rainie off. so what did everyone think of this week? was it a good move not to make abi fail her exams??

Jay wouldn't of killed her, I think he didn't even know they were on the same bus until he seen the CCTV. He was probably just visiting Ben and doesn't want anyone to know

He was also about to tell Abi something before the thick cow told him she didn't get into uni and lied....but jay didn't look as though he was about to confess to murder! He probably had an argument with her (Lucy) or something and wants to keep quiet about it for obvious reasons.

I like the way that different characters are brought into what happened to Lucy that night - Lee witnessing her arguing with Billy over him stealing fish and now Jay on the same bus as her. Who's next I wonder.

If he had nothing to hide why was his hat already hidden before the video came to light.

Dramatic effect. I mean the way it was kept locked in the garage, anyone would think it was used as a murder weapon, its only a beanie!

Right now the viewers are being treated to more red herrings than the local fishmongers. Hiding it and subsequently burning it is totally OTT, why hide it then only to burn it, what significance can a beanie have that it has any bearing on what happened to Lucy!
If someone boought him an identical beanie, what does he do with that!!!

Bearing in mind the way that he reacted after heather's murder, he would be incapable of killing someone, even accidentally, without showing signs of being very troubled.

This was my thinking, why was it tucked away at the bottom of a toolbox? Although I don't think he did it. Maybe he just keeps it there in case it gets a bit parky at the arches.

maybe because he saw Lucy that night, she saw him and he knows that the bus has CCTV......

Could Heather's murder have made him psycho?

Jay could be covering for Ben. Did Ian give evidence to police that put Ben away for killing Heather? We know Jay has had contact with Ben recently. Ben killed Lucy as revenge.

Everyone's in the frame and if they are focussing on Jay now the chances are he didn't do it!

He probably just went to meet Ben.

Glad Jay is getting something to do, btw, when did the viewers find out that Jay wore the hat on April Fools day? Did I miss something?
