Any ideas of how this storyline is going to pan out? I mean Phil is the don! He can't go bust and plus he always comes out on top no matter what! Love it!

Do you reckon there will be a twist and Marcus will end up really being on Phil's side in the end?? I seriously think Shirley will twig something and tip Phil off....Sharon will then have to skulk off and see Michelle for a few months no doubt.....

She is a Watts so she may actually go ahead with the revenge. But I think she will decide to pull out. DTC is a huge fan of Sharon so I have faith in him.

They are fixing Sharon and bringing her back old style so I don't think Sharon will lose against Phil.

I would play out the storyline like this:

Peggy (and maybe grant) return for the wedding...
Shirley almost exposes her and Phil's affair
Sharon marries phil after deciding she can't go through with her plan...
Later at her wedding reception, she overhears phil and billy talking about his and Shirley's affair
A massive argument breaks out and Sharon runs off, phil chases after her...
Shirley and peggy search for phil and sharon as they argue at the Albert
Sharon pulls out ronnies gun on phil (she has been keeping it at the Albert)
A gun shot is heard, and peggy and sharon rush to the Albert (where they heard it from)
They find phil lying on the ground after he fell off the balcony after being shot...
Sharon accidently shot phil after phil tried to snatch the gun off her (sharon deliberately shooting him would be VERY out of character)

I think this would have an explosive aftermath, would be a very memorable moment, and would make a very dramatic episode! I would want sharon to get away with it though, but be bullied by king phillith for months (of course, he survives!)

She tried to rip him off by trying to get full ownership of The Albert but Phil found out.

What gets me is all these secret meetings with Marcus and she can't even put him in her phone using a code name or word - that usually never ends well in TV or film

I think Philth could possibly know Sharon is up to something already but I am hoping against hope that he doesn't.

Whatever happens to Philth 'Lazarus' Mitchell the pitiful TPTB will soon be putting their spud-faced God back on top again - I doubt he will be down for more than a couple of days - and then he will be back to bullying all the bigger, stronger, younger men.

Phil made a look last week which makes me think he suspects something is going down.

He'll either find out or she'll come clean and he'll give her what she wants (the bar) because he feels guilty about everything that he's done. They're not exactly going to be besties again, but equally that doesn't make things completely irreparable for them to be on better terms in the future, Phil comes off not too bad and is free to get back with Shirley.

I have a theory that Phil will be suspicious of Sharon because she isn't being committed to him and trying to make excuses to get away from him. He will most likely be really distracted when he's having an affair with Shirley. Marcus would be really brave if he tells Phil about Sharon's plans because Marcus knows he is a "dead man walking" if Phil ever finds him. Marcus was responsible for the Mitchells losing all of their assets in 2004.

From the paps photos from the Daily Mail, Phil makes it to his wedding day but he looks devastated when it seems to appear that Sharon has jilted him and he is being comforted by Shirley. It seems to appear Phil will know until Sharon launches her revenge. She is Den Watts' daughter so she is capable of destroying him. Phil always win but will he outsmart Sharon? Probably not! TPTB won't let Phil go homeless and 100% broke but I believe that Sharon will break Phil and hurt him a lot. She did pull out from her pla to humiliate Grant in the 90s so she may do the same to Phil.

I like it! I also want Peggy screeching at Sharon; " Where did you get that gun from ya murdering cah?! Slap!

Sharon; "From your baby swapping, murderous niece Ronnie ya interfering bitch!" Bigger slap!

She high fives the Ghost of Den which has been lurking in the church. Ghost of Angie is knocking back the communion wine and tugging at Ben's bridesmaid dress. Denny is taking notes from Ben on good citizenship and sanity. Shirley has downed a full bottle of voddy and is playing "It should have been me" on the organ and crying because the Vicar is her secret son that she left on the steps of Walford Distillery 36 years ago.

Ronnie is oblivious to all this as she's eyeing up Cindy JR's baby and involuntary lactation has ruined her fabulous Armani suit.

A psychological take down of Phil and a proper written precis of the Mitchell/Watts history and the Mitchell men's treatment of women would be brilliant. I'm not holding my breath though.

The 'revenge' won't happen simply because they've let the audience in on Sharon's plan; there wouldn't be any drama in the reveal because we've known all along Sharon was ripping him off.

Sharon will either back out at the last minute (most likely scenario) or Phil will find out. Shirley's obvs gonna be involved somehow.

Yep, I can see this happening. Sharon's big plot will end up being about Shirley. Predictable.

However, as long as Sharon keeps the Albert, and Phil is taken down a peg or two, I'll be happy.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if Phil marries Shirley on the day of his and Sharon's wedding day but wouldn't they need paperwork first? Then again, EE doesn't do realism well. If Shirley and Phil do marry, then Shirley would forever be a doormat. So excited for Sharon to break up with Phil and become an independent woman

It's funny how the majority of people outside of DS actually support Phil and Shirley, I don't see then getting back together because of Ben and Rainie but I imagine that if they do reunite down the line then it will be a new era and a different dynamic for them. I like to think that DTC wouldn't allow Sharon or Shirley to become doormats. I think Sharon will come up trumps with the Albert.

I'm not a fan of Phil/Shirley because Phil just ruins Shirley and I say this as a Shirley fan myself. I have always liked Shirley but have never liked Shirley and Phil as a couple. I know they are very popular outside Digital Spy but they are not some "big love story". I would say Phil and Kathy are more popular than Phil and Shirley. I guess people just like Phil and Shirley because they are similar to each other.

Funnily enough, I do think they work well as a couple but I also think they have been subjected to some very poor writing over the years and it has ruined them. When they are good they are good but when they are written poorly, it is a disaster. It's all about getting the right balance, when they write Shirley bitter around Phil it does ruin her and honestly, they need to just stop making her react that way around him! The chemistry between Linda Henry and Steve McFadden does make them compelling to watch and they do have some lovely scenes...which are then counteracted with some truly awful ones! I woild hate for Shirley to become rebound when Sharon jilts Phil.

Sharon and Marcus meet up again, they decide the best place to meet up to discuss 'Revenge on Philth' plan is to go to the Vic, Shirley eavesdrops on the conversation and instead of realising this is her time to get justice for Hev etc.., she decides her sex life and obssession with Philth is more important so she tells him what she heard. King Philth wins once again, Sharon goes back to living in the BnB.

The B and B is closed . I think Sharon will win because Shazza is back. It would be too predictable if Phil wins.

When they're good they're very good. The thing that always strikes me is that when they were together the Mitchells felt like a family. in part that could be because Ben was there but a lot of it was down to the atmosphere. All the Mitchells liked Shirley and were welcome to pop in at any time and the boys regarded her as a mother, it was very much a home.
