Steph and Luke (Corrie)

I'm a big fan of these two new characters to the Street and was wondering what future storylines they could be given. I think they've both demonstrated their natural acting abilities and think they could pull off a big storyline really well.

I was thinking a Steph and Nick romance could be on the cards, and Luke could get really protective of his sister, knowing what happened between Nick and Leanne, sparking a Luke v Nick war.

Or maybe Steph starts being stalked by a mystery culprit and Luke is determined to protect his sister and unmask the culprit.

Do we know much about Steph and Luke's family yet and their family history? We've seen Luke be protective of his sister so far, maybe it's just their genuine sibling relationship or there could be something lurking in the past in their family history, which has caused Luke to be so protective of his sister. Maybe that's something the writers could explore to develop their characters.

What are your thoughts? What type of stories do you think they should be given in the future? What characters would you like to see them interact with more?

Yes I don't mind them either now. Don't think we know anything about their family history yet, (and hopefully they won't all suddenly start crawling out of the woodwork a la Carters.

Spoiler
I know Luke and Katie start a relationship very soon, but as they're both free and single I don't know how that could cause any trouble to anyone.

But hey, it's a soap - and Sod's Law applies.

I dunno Dave... Those looks between Steph and Steph's brother are a bit concerning if you ask me. There's quite enough incestuous behaviour on the street already what with Flirty Gail's love triangle with Des and Angry, and just across the road you've got Jason bunking in with his mam.

Tell ya what, I'll keep an eye on them and let you know if I see anything incriminating.

They're not awful but they haven't been used much so I don't have much of an opinion on them. Its annoying because new characters like Kal and Yasmeen are being shoved down our throat but Step and Luke aren't being used.

Well I like her interactions with Nick, at least Steph is being involved with characters she knows like Nick (her employer), Katy (her friend) and Luke (her brother). Not like foghorn Yasmeen, the upstanding citizen of the community (who nobody has heard of before) getting involved in everyone's business and suddenly trying to interfere in people's lives despite only being in the show 3 weeks.

I wish Luke would have some more screen time, give us some banter between him and Tyrone in the garage. Tyrone doesn't always have to be glued to Fiz.

I do like that and she does have good interactions but I wish they would give her something of her own to do and Luke is rarely ever used apart from when they need someone to flirt.

They are a good addition to the cast, I like them. Hopefully they get a sl soon, I like how Luke's not one of those typical male soap characters, he was so lovely to Carla and it made me really warm to him and Steph is lovely.
