Boxing channel BoxNation is joining the TV platform, along with Premier Sports, which offers rugby league, ice hockey, NASCAR, Gaelic football, hurling, mixed martial arts and more.

The channels will become available to TalkTalk TV viewers from Friday August 22nd.

BoxNation - Britain’s only 24-hour boxing channel - will be available as a TV Boost for £12 per month. Customers can sign up on a month-by-month basis, with no ongoing commitment.

Premier Sports includes fixtures from Australia’s National Rugby League, and Four Nations coverage including England vs Samoa in late October. Ice Hockey fans can watch 15 games per week from the NHL, while motor sport enthusiasts can look forward to the NASCAR Sprint Cup from Bristol Motor Speedway on August 23rd.

Pay-TV sport is available to TalkTalk subscribers with an Essentials TV or Plus TV bundle. These packages offer high-speed broadband, home phone calls, and a YouView set-top box, which allows viewers to access premium content on-demand and catch-up services.

I look forward to the many emails informing me of the opportunity to pay for more content from Talk Talk.

Hopefully they'll roll out recording of the IP channels at the same time, then I'll be a lot happier, I might even watch something on Sky One for the first time ever.

Unless you are a die-hard Simpsons fan, I doubt you will find much of interest on Sky One. They used to have some decent programming years ago, but their best stuff seems to be reserved for Sky Atlantic these days, which is not coming to YouView any time soon. Sky Living, on the other hand, I think is quite a reasonable channel. This is just my taste, of course, but I often manage to find something interesting to watch on the two Sky Arts channels.

I'm sure I'd fine things to watch on Sky Arts too as I enjoy a few programmes on BBC4, but without the ability to record, they might as well not be there as I rarely watch anything live.
