Why the hell does Jim keep giving Peter alcohol when he can see he's a desperate alky?

He looks at Peter and makes him squirm only to give him not one but two bottles in tonight's episode.

He used to be a pub landlord.....surely he can see and spot an alcoholic when he sees one and I don't ever see Peter "paying" for this stuff.

I've been wondering this I can't make up my mind, is he being a dick or has no idea?

Yeah me neither....can't work it out either.....

I think that Jim is giving Peter alcohol so that Peter has to get Liz and Steve to visit him.

Why has Jim turned evil? He was never that horrible. Well except the time he beat Liz. But he had redeemed himself since then.

Yes...Jim is very calculating........not to mention off his nut when he gets angry!

Jim wants something in return. I don't know whether it's just a visit from a family, I'd like to think it's a bit more than that. But you don't get anything free in prison and Peter's easy bait because of his addiction.

read an interview with Charlie lawson in which he said kim didn't have knowledge of Peters struggle with alcohol. he didn't know him on the street so he doesn't know

If that's what we are supposed to think then they must think we are stupid!! Peter stands there looking gruff, swarthy and desperate while pretty much shaking for an alcohol fix. He comes by every two hours for example......his frequency should be enough to go on if anything.....

I agree. it's moronic. I couldn't tell from the interview if he was being serious or not lol.
