Who thought Ken and Deirdre's trip to the country was a bit flat?
I thought there would be some really good comedic lines between them, but I found the scenes somewhat disappointing. I was looking forward to watching tonight's episode for this particular storyline. I think they could have had them staying there for a week so we'd get a few episodes out of their break.

Agreed.
I loved them in a cheesy, silly way that only Corrie could get away with, however i thought it would last a week at minimum. A couple of silly adventures, getting lost on a trail or something. |

It was the only thing keeping it afloat tonight
The worst was long faced Leanne. |

I liked how Deirdre was scared that the cow was staring at her. These two need more wacky adventures, perhaps they should go to Spain or something. Get us a chance to see Deirdre by the pool in a bikini.

I'm wondering why they bothered with the storyline at all, as it was very shortlived, just one night. Apart from crossing the field with the bull, nothing much happened. Next thing they were back home again. Pointless.

It was cheesy, but still the best thing about tonight's episodes, by far.

They said it was a fun camping holiday, turned out to be a wet weekend or for them a wet day.

Another terrible episode in what is becoming the poorest period of CS i can ever remember. Total pants since Tina died.

The sheep looking at Dreary was the only redeeming feature. Says a lot about Corrie at the moment.

I must admit I was expecting it to be a lot funnier and longer. That being said, it was still the best thing about Corrie tonight. Which isn't saying much.

Ken and Deidre's 'holiday' was the funniest TV I have seen for a while; they were both brilliant.

I enjoyed it. I mean perhaps I have very low standards since it was surrounded by the rest of that horror that was those two episodes, but Deirdre always make me laugh so that helped.

Good light hearted comedy.....makes such a pleasant change from all the doom and gloom of of the numerous murders and affairs which are continually happening....I also love the banter between Tracyluv and Rob they could have been a mini Ken and Deirdre if only the writers had let them.......

I thought it was hilarious too. The interaction with the sheep and the 'bull' was inspired I thought, along with Ken's typical showing off with his few Welsh words, and poor Deirdre's understandable misery. Great stuff.
![]() Also nice that they got to have a proper chat and made friends again.

I found it different.
But on a personal note, If it was filmed in Wales. It meant Anne and William, could have a few days away, and have a good catch up, we all know Anne missed William |

Wonder where they found that grotty caravan , holiday makers who go on holiday for £9.50 from the sun, get a better caravan than that

Someone on the thread last night said it was filmed 'around Chester'.

I agree. I really didn't see that anything came out of it apart from showing us again how different and incompatible they are as a couple (unless that was the idea and will open up another story line for them). Maybe it was my mood last night but if it was done for comedy I just didn't get it

Deirdre awoke to discover a randy sheep ogling her knockers.
Shortly afterwards she drank bull’s semen out of a farm jug for breakfast. Then she played ‘Snap’ with Ken. Sounds a pretty decent holiday to me. |
