Does anyone think it is slightly unfair that when they opened the text lines the first person to sing on both occasions was Edith? Obviously this leaves people with longer to vote for her. As soon as Kim stopped singing the textlines closed. This to me seems very unfair as people who liked her performance had little chance to vote.

The show has ended in a complete shambles. It's been so good, and they've just pissed it all up the wall. And it's probably the last one as well.

nothing has been fair in this,if kim does win she has done it on her own,
edith has had all the hype, and why was she on first both times.

yeah i agree they should have let kim go first the second time round, or at least give a tiny bit more time for people to vote! Edith has had soo much support on the radio today too so she musta got a lot of votes in during the day espec with EE not being on tonight!
But it is all for charity so it doesnt matter! If it was normaly Fame academy tho then Kim would have won by a mile!

Someone had to go first. Problem is the lack of time. In FA 2 the running order followed the positions of the singer in the SF voting but any system is as good/bad as any other. Once they gave it a limited amount of time, disenfranchised the non-texting audience and put the show out later than normal the competition became pretty odd anyway - more so when Edith couldn't be heard. The decision may be down to someone voting at 6 AM who never heard anything or who ever has the biggest or most committed texting audience.

And what happened to the phone votes and money for Comic Relief that older folk would have made.

As I posted earlier text votes means, go Edith girl!

Even if Kim does somehow manage to win in spite of all this, it leaves a very nasty taste in the mouth!

I was hoping at the start that Kim would win

Then tonight I wasnt too bothered aslong as they both sung well

After the way they did this I now hope Kim wins it

It is total BBC bias, no time to hear or think about how well Kim did before the lines closed

I know it is for a good cause but it will matter to me if my votes counted for nothing ( I may as well have just donated to the cause without voting) because the beeb decided to balls up the schedule and show blatant favourtism to one contestant

I just have a horrible feeling Edith is going to win this now Hope I am wrong (I know I won't care tomorrow but hey )

I noticed how quick the texting closed the first time so I voted for Kim throughout Edith's performance as well. I know one of my text votes didn't make it because my mobile provider was late getting it through according to my alerts and of course this was only when the judges were giving Kim their opinions! I thought it should have stayed open at least until they were finished seeing how Edith had all of Kim's performance to rack up votes!!

I hope everyone was able to get their votes in on time. With the abundance of texting going on, not everyone's texts are going to make it in time for the closing Some mobile providers do suffer from text traffic!

Why was it Edith every time though and yesterday when they did a similar thing? I could hear Edith perfectly well at home.

FA 2 had a running order in the final and stuck to it too. Alex was always last - probably because the order was decided by the SF votes. if you don't do this someone gets the longer rest and someone might end up doing too much too soon. Not a big factor here but if its in the rule book people do things without rethinking. People complained then this gave Alex an advantage being in the same position as Kim.

The problem is they are being given too little time - presumably as they want an answer not too much later than now. as they bizarrely lost their phone vote and need time to count texts and because they have stuffed the schedule with too much and thrown FA in where they can.

The whole thing is just stupid. They should have just done the final last night, and tonight had all the students back for a special with Edith and Dawn doing the Proclaimers and Reggie and Ade doing something etc...

Woudnt it have been easier though if the 10 minute voting started after they had both sung, or would that give the second person an advantage?

I agree on your last point, after all the coverage of FA recently, come tonight and it just seems to get little slots when theres time

Yes the final today will have passed me by no matter who wins. I know it is for Comic Relief but I still feel a bit cheated

This was what I said to my boyfriend. Start the voting for 10 mins after they both have sung. It would have been the fairest way, whatever order it was.

Not sure about that. It has happened to me several times as well. Hopefully it still counts.

That would be an interpretation which deems BBC "music" programmes to be full of fair unbiased people. Maybe you're right!

Yes they would have made 2-3 times as much last night and with an ounce of imagination tonight they could have linked performances to money coming in. Send a million and Ade sings....don't and Konnie sings......

As it is the final depends on whose voters voted when before hearing anything and who has most texters who made it in time....plus no sound for Edith's best effort. Some where.............................gap.....................over the rayyynnne ....bowww or silence - you make the decision if you voted early or can text.

To be honest I think Edith singing first on both occassions is perfectly fair.

Edith's mic was out for the whole of her first song which gave Kim the advantage, I have no problem with them putting Edith first again as that kind of balances it out.

Were we supposed to get replies? I voted tons of times and didn't get any replies.
