i have nothing against Edith, but Kim was of better quality. I don't know how she didnt win, she really was robbed. I know this is in my opinion, but Kim is a decent singer, infact shes a professional.

But, hey, its all in the name of comic relief and they raised over a million pounds

i think if youd listen to radio one at all today you would have known why edith got the most votes! She had soo much support!

Why can't people just enjoy the programme and stop making up conspiracy theories? It was a good laugh and now it's over.

She didn't win because it was impossible for most of the people who had been voting for her via the phone to vote for her this time because by the time her performances had finished they had closed, and most of her fans probably aren't able to text as well.

She got the most votes when it was all fair, on semi final night. So she won really.

Whos making up conspiracy theories, i just said i think she deserved to win.

I enjoyed the programme so much and its given me soemthing to watch throughout teh last two weeks.

Totally bias final. Very disapointing. Too angry to let it bother me though (if you know what I mean ) My fav's never win these things though so I am well used to it Edith sang well, but for me there was no comparison compared to Kim. She really nailed Somewhere over the Rainbow

I wanted Kim to win too but at the end of the day they have all raised lots of money as well as raised their profiles. Kim has proved she can sing well and I am sure she is proud of her achievement - as they all should be (well...maybe not Konnie )

Kim was robbed, they delibrately gave Edith a Tandy quality microphone so people would give her sympathy votes because her performance was 'Sabotaged'.

Kim I felt all week constantly performed the best out of all the contestants and had the best voice and seemed to be able to hold a note. Most of all she showed Talent and you shouldn't be discriminated against for being good at something which it now seems she is. So she'd done some singing in the past and could almost be a Professional Singer so is that a reason to start the hatorising?

Kim should have won and I bet any money she's more likely to have a future singing then Edith.

On balance, I'd tend towards the conspiracy theory, but who knows, or really cares? It's not like either of them are THAT good anyway.

And look how successful musically Kwarme and the guy who won it last year were, though I'd guess with the totally fair unbiased Radio One, Edith might have a hit single like the round one, before going back to her day job!

Us Brits don't like winners, we always vote for the second best.

^^Yeah Kim had the best Voice, Adrian was Certainly thr Best 'Showman' and 'Entertainer' so why did the come 2nd and 3rd to Edith, who at best sounded like most of the Kareoke singers from my local and from the looks of her it ain't difficult to see why she works in radio.

If people were going to discriminate against Kim for being talented and an actual singer. Then the fairest thing to do would have been to vote for Adrian instead. If Kim didn't warrant a winning vote then Edith didn't deserve sympathy votes. So Adrian should of got the votes for playing the game in the spirit it was intended and providing us with some great comedy moments for this years comic relief.

As I said in the unfair thread, my votes were cast this morning, for Edith. Many people think that lots of people voted during her Radio One show.

How then can I be accused of 'falling for the sympathy' trick...please lighten up.

I liked Edith the best and voted accordingly and I'm sure everyone else did the same, including Kim's supporters.

Such comparisons seem very strange to me. I think Neil Young is great and have no time for Gareth. And out of Kim and Edith, I'd much rather watch or listen to Kim.

well thats your preference which of course is fair enough but my point is how well you sing is most certainly not the be all and end all of what makes a good performer

When the voting was done the way it was for every other show, she topped the poll (even after her weakest performances). Tonight was just a mess from start to finish, so it hardly mattered. People know I never liked Kim, but had they not turned the whole thing into such a shambles then I'm confident she would have won.

Neil Young doesn't sing well? I guess you think there's some kind of technical(?) "singing well" that isn't worth very much, but if so, I don't think it applies to Kim.

Whenever people make these comparisons, I always like the people they're contrasting with Kim. That's why I find the comparisons strange.

Agree it was fouled up but too fouled up even to get to where you got. We don't know who won the previous votes. We just know the SF and not the margin there. The betting suggested Kim won Edith won and then Kim won - if it was informed. Edith came back the night after she was in the last 3 - we don't know how far. We don't know what impression Edith's first song would have made if it could be heard or who would have voted for what if the phone voters had been there to vote - Edith sang a popular song too remember. Radio 1 voters could have voted early but there are more Eastender's viewers who might have thought to pick up the phone. The text vote might have changed things but then so might the fact that an Eastender's audience wasn't tuning in straight into FA. Its all a mess as soon as you ditch the FA final on a saturday format.
