I was out tonight but I taped Comic Relief. The thing is I can't be arsed trawling through the whole thing to see if he was allowed to sing it.

Nah he didn't.

Strangely enough I found the unrehearsed humour of his attempt at Waterloo better than his staged humour in the competition. "God this is sh1t, my career is meeting its Waterloo" etc...

Really the format of the show didnt help him try anything on that was spontaneous. For one thing the main shows were usually before the watershed. Also the size of the performing area was so small that if he didnt mark his moves before hand they probably wouldnt have caught the act. Infact they often didnt capture the moves due to poor camerawork.
