I've not seen January figures in its current slot, but I know it was doing well in November and December. It was hitting upwards of 65,000 on some days and I've seen a few days where it was topping 70,000. I'd imagine they'd be looking to grow the figures to above 100,000 viewers. But as you say it depends how much they invest in it. As it stands it's cheap daytime filler. They will need to differentiate between it and the one show, although having big name guests isn't a particular issue, you just have to look at the Saturday night shows ratings to see that. I wonder how long they will give it.”
Well at the start it's average was much lower, it had gotten up to 25,900 by the end of April and then moved slot which appears to have worked at some level. It would be nice to know exactly what the weekly average was, taking Friday as a tough day, If every station could exclude bad days no one would have bad ratings.
This could be a huge mistake for TV3. They probably only have one part of their schedule working at this stage. From 3.30 -7.00 the ratings appear to be acceptable (especially Judge Judy!) The News does very well some days and Xpose has it's regular Viewers. Changing the one thing that actually works is a huge risk.
It's obvious they either have Money Problems at this stage or they're not willing to spend the extra cash. What will they put in at 3.30? and how will that effect Judge Judy. It could knock off 20% off her figures if it's something that pulls in less than Late Lunch.
Why didn't they just launch the 7 O Clock show for an Hour as a separate show, like Life was supposed to be like?
At the same time how interested are Advertisers going to be when almost all the target Market are either watching RTE1 or UTV at that time?
