Is Lola the new Michelle Fowler?

With her connections to the big family (Mitchells) and raising the baby on her own. The character is also one of the greats now and the actress can handle whatever you throw at her.

Oh Gawd, does this mean Phil is Lexi's dad?

No! Michelle was always high principled (if not hypocritical at times) but much more responsible than Lola! Plus she wasn't orange!

Lola just seems to be in the background these days, wonder how she will get on with Ben?

Not really principled or that responsible. She slept with Dirty Den and had his baby!

Two different characters imo but Lola has certainly improved over the last two years.

Personality wise Lola is more Bianca/Kat/Stacey type then Michelle imo.

Michelle was sort of dowdy compared to the likes of Sharon at the time, she didn't have much but she was more strewed and level headed despite sleeping with Den and Grant, she always want to better herself and the situation she lived in.

bare in mind that's back in the 80s EE was more kitchen sink drama and much more gritty realism then now, I think unfortunately for Lola there is so many similar females that she sort of gets lost in the hustle.

If that had happened these days they would have accused Den of grooming her.

At least her baby wasn't a relative to itself.

Agree with others that her personality is very different to Michelle and Michelle had more ambition career wise didn't she? Michelle was perhaps the kind of person that Peter would like Lola to be.

Michelle had some ambition and was not afraid of hard work in order to better herself.

Nothing like Lola.

I think Lola's a great character, she's just stuck in this silly peter/Lauren triangle!

Axe deano
Put Lauren and peter together and
Give Lola something decent!

They have some similarities but they're different in many other ways.

It has been a joy to watch both Lola and Danielle Harold grow over the last few years. Who'd have thought she'd become one of the most sympathetic characters in the Who Killed Lucy story?

She is? I have found her intensely annoying, brattish and completely unsympathetic in this storyline!
