I was just thinking the other day about how some people here on the Digital Spy Soap Forum would Rewrite The Tram Crash. Here are a few questions:

Which Characters would you kill off?

Would you have a different Aftermath?

Would you kill Peter Barlow Off?

How big would the Damage be?

How many Characters would be involved?

Have a think about it, and let me know as soon as you can.

I'd have had Rita go out for her usual single sweet sherry after a hard days whinging at Nozza, then 4 hours later stumble out of the pub, two sheets to the wind, and steal a tram to joyride home. The rest would play out as it did on screen.

1) I'd have killed off Dev, Molly, Norris and maybe Claire (instead of Ashley.)

2) The aftermath would have been the same; notably Sally finding out about the ridiculous affair "Molvin."

3) I wouldn't have killed Peter off, no. The Street needs at least one Barlow member living there as a nod to the show's history.

4) I'd have introduced the Weatherfield tram stop... with Claire and Norris returning from the Viaduct Shopping Centre after buying presents for Christmas. The explosion still goes off in The Joinery/Nick's Bistro/Just Nick's trapping Dev in the rubble before he dies from internal injuries.

5) I'd have also involved as many cast members as possible.

I thought it was pretty good as it was. Although I'd have killed Nick off instead of Ashley, he gets right on my norks does Nick. Then Leanne could have handwrung and cried snot and felt guilty for the one who died and the one who came back.

Of course it goes without saying that Ken would remain frustrated.

Alan Bradley would have been driving it and gone for Rita who would save the day by blinding him with bon bons.

If it was to happen now? Kill off Dev, Maddie, Neil, Todd

They could now have the tram heading for East Didsbury, Rochdale or Ashton, as these lines have opened since the crash in 2010!

Dev, Tyrone, Fiz, Kirk, Michelle, Molly & Sean

Would you have a different Aftermath?
I don't know what I would do but with all those characters there would have to be some sort of aftermath.

Would you kill Peter Barlow Off?
No, I'd leave that a couple of years and give him a solo death. Maybe a suicide.

How big would the Damage be?
The bistro, the shops and a few houses and cars.

How many Characters would be involved?
It would be during a street party Almost everyone is at the street party when suddenly a big tram crashes into the street and kills those mentioned plus injures at least 8 others. Toni doesn't die.
