Kim wasnt 'robbed' ..just becuase Edith had radio 1 backing her doesnt mean she had an unfair advantage, people wont vote becuase radio 1 told them to vote Edith they will vote if they like her...well done to her i say she was consistant the whole way through and she deserved to win...I think the thread about hating Edith are pathetic people seriously need to grow up..celebritys went in the fame academy to raise money for charity and they all did a bloody good job and all the credit they get is people slagging them off which i think is discusting considering they did it all for charity and raised a hell of a lot of money which will help thousands of people...also i wish people would stop saying things were fixed just becuase YOUR favourite didnt win doesnt mean it was fixed...not everyone will be voting for the same person and tho Kim was the bookies favourite she obviously wasnt the publics fave becuase Edith won. Saying it was fixed and that Edith had an unfair advantage is a load of bull at the end of the day Edith got the most votes and she won the competition and lots of money was raised for comic relief..people seem to be forgetting that.

You should have followed the Big Brother thread last year, they hated the housemates so much and slagged their motives that I wonder why any of them bothered to watch the program!

Though there are a few nice sensible ones (AgingRocker for example) and I agree with you. I thought Kim was marginally better on the night, but both were very, very good and I am not complaining about the result, as you say it was fun for charity.

Edith was at a big advantage last night, Kim gave an amazing peformence and viewers had no time to vote for her after it. Edith got to peform first both times and her mic was dodgy the first time.

I know it was for charity, but it was still a competition and i wanted someone to win.

It sounds to me like you wanted Edith to win and you got what you wanted so you are saying Kim wasn't robbed, i know, and other people know, that just because it wasn't important who won, she was still robbed.

I didnt say i wanted Edith to win , i was rooting for Ade , but he didnt and in all fairness i wasnt complaining that he was robbed , people could vote all day so the performances they did on the final wouldnt have made much of a difference anyway.

I know it was dreadful i was reading through that thread but i didnt bother to comment on it.

I think that Kims version of Somewhere over the rainbow (i think thats what its called ) was good but i liked perfect the best out of her perfomances in the program.

Oh believe me they would. Some people were voting from Thursday nights peformences as well. The fact is that the results were close, so it wouldn't have taken much for Kim to win, especially with a peformence like that.

We didn't have any time to vote after it, she might as well not have had a peformence!

I hope they give out the official voting figures becuase they always say on these programs the results are so close and they arnt really when we see the voting figures.

Yeah i know they closed the lines like straight after her performance but still it might not have meant she would have won if they had kept the lines open becuase you just dont know what the public are voting for.

No you don't, but because they closed the lines straight after her peformence, we will never know and therefore Edith isn't a real winner.

That is true. i wanted to vote for Kim after her performance as I thought the lines would be open. Edith sang before Kim which meant that when Kim was singing people could vote for Edith. But you couldnt after Kim which wasnt fair.
Its madness! Kim left that song toll last cos she knew it could win it for her. Then she finds out the lines are shut! You should be allowed to watch the performance then vote!!!

Well my fave didn't win either although I was happy enough it was Edith. To me though the main winner was Comic Relief and without all the contestants, the judges and the coaches, the camera crew etc., it would have not made that extra million quid so I'm just grateful they all gave up their time to provide some cracking entertainment for all us viewers along the way

Kim had never been in the bottom 3, she was the only who was saved by the public yesterday and then on the day where she gives one of her best performances she loses to edith whos singing wasnt that great!

Anyways it was all for charity so fair play to them all but i do personally think edith was given on unfair advantage both on the show and also all the support she had from readio one today, the amount of times her number was given out on the show must have inclined some peoplel to vote for her.

I was happy enough that Edith won too - she's a good singer/performer.

And I know that it was all about helping Comic Relief (goes without saying!). But I had my Dad moaning to me on the phone that he didn't realise that you couldn't vote by phone, and he was complaining that he should have been voting for Kim during the day. He's long since forgotten my last lesson on texting, bless him!! I'd say that Kim would have a appealed to a lot of the older generation who might not be as used to text voting.

I also agree that it wasn't fair to have more time to vote for Edith than Kim. When Edith was singing, it only displayed the txt number for her - they could have at least displayed both numbers, in case anyone hadn't noted down Edith's.

The text number was the same for all you just put vote and the name of the person to the same number.

Good point, Kirsty - except that I didn't realise that at the time! Embarrassing, I know! I was going to do a sneaky vote on behalf of my poor father, who was really upset he couldn't remember how to text!!!

This is my first reality series as a forum member tho I have being reading the posts for a couple of years now. This forum wasn't as vitriolic as some on the Big Brother forum but it is still amazing how uptight some people can get. One common thing all forums have in common is that those supporters of the runner up can always find reason why the result was fixed against their favourite.

IMO the final of FA was a shambles and I missed seeing the winner announced but one of the reasons I think that Edith won was that she fell somewhere between Ade and Kim (ie Ade was a fantatic entertainer who couln't really sing but Kim was a fantastic singer who maybe took it a bit seriously whereas Edith fell somewhere in the middle).

I occassionally pop in to the AI forum (i think Anwar is great) so maybe see some of you there. Bye

The real classic was the X Factor forum.... the behaviour there from some people was so horrible that I ended up opting out altogether for a while! These forums are great, but there is a small minority of people who just can't seem to keep things in proportion, and get so personally involved (in the lives of people they know nothing about) that they lose all sense of perspective.
