Brookside actor Dean Sullivan aka Jimmy Corkhill in shock as his 60 year old brother has been killed in a suspected hit and run while he was cycling.Sadly just a matter of days earlier the 24 year old son of Brookside actor Paul Usher aka Barry Grant has died suddenly after being taken ill on a boat of the coast of Aberdeen.

Awful sad news their in my thoughts.

That's very sad - for them both to lose family members so suddenly. Barry and Jimmy were two of the best Brookie characters, though I thought Jimmy stayed too long.

Jimmy becoming increasingly stale is one of the reasons I stopped watching in the mid 1990s.I think Barry left at the right time.
