A new American-Canadian-British girlband who are releasing their single 'Ugly Heart' on Sunday here!

I really like them so far, they seem to have had quite a bit of success in Australia and Ireland.

Ugly heart is a catchy little number. Who's the British member? I thought they were all American?

Lauren Bennet (she did a song with LMFAO) is the UK member.

I quite like this song, very catchy and has meaning with the fact that looks are not everything.

I find them appealing because they are actually WOMEN.

They're all in their mid-late 20's which I really like

A lot of girlbands right now, it's 17 year olds in the group singing bout being in the club and being in love and all that jazz and it's like "Shut up!".

I find that nauseating when it's clearly girls just out of high school trying to come across sexy.

Little Mix are early 20's and they don't push the sexiness to hard so their image works.

G.R.L could reach their success but as a sexy girlband who are actually WOMEN

I thought 'Ugly Heart' was released yesterday but there are no signs if it on iTunes?! Does anyone know if the release date has been pushed back?

They performed on the xfactor australia last week on the results show. They actually seem like decent, fun, polished performers, although I don't think their harmonies are as strong as little mix.

This song has grown on me. Now I've got over how basic the lyrics are (how many times do they want to say "pretty" in the chorus?) I actually really like it. Heard it in a club for the first time on Sunday and it was epic.

I just recently noticed that Lauren Bennet was in this group.

A few years back I was following Robin Antin's attempt to form a second Pussy Cat Dolls type of group called Paradiso Girls. It was supposed to be an international group with members from at least the US, UK, Philippines and France. Lauren and another woman were from Britain. They actually stayed together for a few years but got very little attention. Finally they broke up, and the rumour was that they got disappointed with the lack of support from the record company.

After that Antin tried to revive The Pussy Cat Dolls with a new set of members. During that process the names changed at a rapid pace. At one point they announced a five member group with a few semi-recognisable names, the Wikipedia page was updated with them, but a few months later all the names were gone. Then a new line-up was announced, the pictures of the members were in the press, but then those too quickly disappeared from the limelight.

Throughout this chaos of a process, Lauren Bennet seems to have been one constant. Her name has always been in the race. Now G.R.L appears to be the final product; a completely new group. Paula van Oppen who is now in G.R.L. was also at some point a member in the new Pussy Cat Dolls line-up.

I heard the song and quite liked it - then saw the video and they've been styled as another typically trashy girl group. Souless, infact.

Cool Beans! I'm so glad this song is doing well. I did have my doubts as I have only heard it once on the radio.

It's such a good song and deserves to be successful

How sad and so shocking to hear of the news of Simone's death.

They are set for a top 5 in the charts this weekend with Ugly Heart and this news comes as such a shock!

She was such a star, couldn't help but be drawn to her as both a singer and dancer. May she rest in peace.

This is one of my favourite recordings of her singing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gs_mJ0Bkx48 (Drake cover, 'Take Care', with her friend).

She really had so much potential.

The group's disabled Youtube comments on their videos, yikes.

She was the star of the group, the stand-out. Even when she was on X Factor, there was something about her that stood out. Such a loss.
