What a boring episode. Seriously .

Stand out moment was erm......erm.....oh yeah. Dot telling Max is mobile is in his pocket..

The whole episode was poorly written and full of holes. I am sorry but that wasn't EastEnders at all.

Peter annoyed me tonight. Very out of character for him. Emma is annoying
and so is Charlie's Mother.

2/10

But then what hello ma, tries to rip her off, for money she doesn't have but I bet suddenly does for the convenience of the story.

I suspect the rent arrears story will be forgotten as well

I think Daran Little might need to head back up North. Not sure I want him writing EastEnders based on Tuesday and tonights episodes.

Oh it was. Even I can't try and defend that rubbish.

If he's in Charlie's phone as dad - how did Carol have to hear his voice to know it Nick? I'm guessing there'd be no point in withholding his number as he hasn't in others.

And if Whitney already has Ryan's number under another name, why would he send 'it's me, ryan'?

Yep, the text Whitney had definitely hinted at it, especially with Lily back and Stacey's return. I'm still hoping for Sean's return

Was Dean genuinely perplexed that his behaviour was offensive?? If so, he's a weird one!

Apart from Charlie getting the better of that cop that was a pretty poor episode.

I'm all for Whitney getting a boyfriend, it's a long time since Tyler, but Lee is such a drip. Could they not have found someone better to play Danny Dyer's son.

Still very confused about Charlie....fancy car, pays for a funeral, pays off Les and gives Bianca £5000 all on a cleaner's wage

Pauline McLynn is a great actress and I can't wait to see where she takes Yvonne. Her and Ronnie is going to be a lot of fun.

As for the rest. Dean argh. I honestly just want him to leave.

I really do hope that when Denise finds out what Ian is doing and what he has done she knees him in the nuts

Whit and Lee zzzzzz but Ryan txed is Ryan coming back?!?, Dan your Ryan.

Peter is such a sneak, poor Lola, he wants sexy times with sexy Lauren.

Charlie and his mum scenes were good, lmao, Charlie is a caretaker for an old farts home.

Im thinking this further down the line. It could be a "love to hate you" kinda plot. They're both kinda blunt & feisty.

Dan the man((((((hugs))))))) (((((((((squeezes))))))))))

The writing wasn't great tonight.

I was disappointed tonight, I really wanted Charlie to do something "interesting" I am gutter my dark knight is a mere normal care taker. My dreams have been ruined

I don't like where they're going with Peter either, they don't need another Ian.

You must have had your volume up high because she didn't seem shouty to me.

Well, it's taken months of filler and build up, but finally, finally, we see some advance on the Charlie Cotton storyline.

So. He really is called Charlie. He really is Nick's son. He's genuinely gotten close to Dot, so much so he steals to buy her earrings. He's actually a caretaker at a care home (Patrick needs one of those, duh duh duhhhhhhh!). And yet, we are far from the full story. After all, he shoved 5k at Bianca's lot a couple of weeks back. You don't steal that much without anyone noticing, regardless of memory loss. And what's with the whole pretending Nick's dead anyway?

And he handled Emma superbly (though, let's face it, that's not very hard). So far, he's stayed ahead of the game, and kept the facade going well. But Max is still onto him. And clearly he and Nick have had a falling out. Color me very, very interested.

It's a good thing the Charlie stuff has gotten good, because the rest of this episode was pants.

What a beautiful summing up of Lauren's character. The minute a "well phit" guy smiles at her, she's all over him like a rash. Christ Almighty, this girl really is the most shallow, unlikable character I've ever seen on a TV show. Fair play to her for knocking Dean back today because of how he was with Lola, but I'm willing to bet my Corsa he'll smile at her either tomorrow or next week and she'll be running back to him.

Speaking of Lola, she's finally had enough of moody Peter. Yes, he lost his sister, but he's treating her abysmally. The only reason he wanted to go for lunch today was to spy on Lauren's date. He doesn't really care about Lola, and is prepared to keep using her as an emotional crutch. Lola should ditch moody Beale. He and Loz are welcome to each other.

And, oh yay, Whitney and Lee have slept together. Give Daran Little credit for this... he almost made me feel pity for Whitney. Not sympathy, pity. Sleeping with a bloke is, it seems, the only way she knows how to keep one. Which is actually very tragic, if a tiny bit repetitive. However, for the first time tonight I was very underwhelmed by Lee.

You see, from the start, the minute they announced a young, soldier Carter son, I instantly dreaded his introduction. I figured he would simply be another Joey/Tyler mindless hunk to sleep with Lucy/Whitney/Lauren. Took em a while, but they didn't disappoint. Marching around, saying softly how much he likes Whitney just made him look like an idiot tbh.

But hey, looks like Ryan might be coming back. Indifferent about that, but he might bring some drama with him.

Shabnam's horrible. But Patrick stuff is good.

Half good, half meh. But hey, Doctor Who is back Saturday
