It honestly hadn't occurred to me that he might be gay.
He wears a wedding ring, though of course that might just indicate a long-term partner of whichever gender.
Professionally, he is a very experienced, and award-winning, choreographer (and now director too) of west end shows, and as such will move among lots of 'luvvies'. Many people in the theatrical profession will not be gay, but will still exhibit 'dahling'-type behaviour or speech.
Is there a definitive source or interview to prove his preferences, or just assumptions?
