Firstly, he knew Dean and Lauren were having a date in the Vic. And because he harbours a little flame for her he decided to destroy it by having lunch with Lola in the Vic. He was the one that encouraged Lola to ask for a job at Dean's salon the first time round and he made her do it again at the pub knowing Dean would be rude to her showing his true colours in front of Lauren and he could then step in to look like the hero

Ben Hardy's Peter was a breath of fresh air when he arrived, such a shame they've ruined the character. He's turning into his father.

Ben Hardy is an amazing actor. One of the few young actors to shine through after only being chosen for their looks.

Peter needs to be more like Ian. I want to see him flourish. But DTC MUST do the following:
1) He needs to get with Lauren, have a kid with her (preferably Jacq Jossa's pregnancy could be written into the storyline) and marry her: Lauren Beale!
2) He needs to have his own business and the stall should go back to Martin when he returns and he should have his own flat with Lauren
3) He needs to be more of an Ian-like figure. Devious, cunning and wicked at times. He needs to prove to Ian - make it his life long ambition - to show that he should have been Ian's favourite twin.

I strongly agree with one and two, but strongly disagree with 3. Ian is a fantastic character in his own right - disgusting human being we all hate to love, but Peter is a good egg that does what he's told and has a good heart I like that he can be cheekily devious like he showed tonight, but that's as far as it should go. I hate when're kids of important characters are made to be carbon copies of their parents. It's boring and overdone.

A total word that rhymes with stick. I hate the direction DTC has taken him in. Do we really need a younger version of Ian The Weasel?

The way peters going if he's not the killer he's gunna get the axe. It's cringey to watch him lust after Lauren with Lola following him round like a lost dog. I do like the actor that plays him tho abs thought he showed real promise wen he first joined. Just not really loving the character at the moment

I should hope not, if Peter lost that gorgeous, lickable body it would displease me.

I know I hate Ian and really wanted him to be Lucy's killer and leave and assumed Peter, the next generation could give the Beale's a clean slate but watching him last night play a typical weasel trick made me despair. He'll be using Lucy's death to get in Lauren's knickers next or has he actually already been doing that

It makes sense though... being your Father's son, true colour shining through.

No. The Beales are a diminishing family and if Peter has a child it should be with a character who has a long term future on the show. I can't see Jaqueline Jossa staying in Eastenders for many more years and I read in an interview that Ben Hardy doesn't plan on sticking around for long. If they had a child he or she would be gone in a few years. Lola would have been the better choice. Does Eastenders really need a couple who look like they just stepped out of Hollyoaks?
