Exactly. If he was a drug dealer there is no way he would be unblocking toilets and hoovering up old people's hair for a living.

It's just possible that he used to have a different, better paying job - I got the impression him helping out at the Care home was a fairly recent thing, not something he'd been doing all his adult life. Plus, where did he get all that money he gave to Coker and to pay off Bianca's debts. There is clearly more to come with this story.

It was a very, very nice car though and certainly out of a caretakers means.

Agreed. The Charlie story is brilliant.

I agree. We needed to get some answers about charlie as it was going to get very frustrating if it went on as a complete enigma for much longer but they've done it in such a way as to just introduce new mystery and have us asking more questions. Plus opened up a believable new avenue that it will be a care home considered for Patrick, thus mingling 2 existing story arcs and bringing Charlie, nick et into the lucy murder - assuming they aren't already involved of course.

That's like saying the Dean s/l will encourage people to seduce their aunties.

Cotton stole the money, not his Mum. She was outraged with him and demanded he pays the money back.

Yes! Have we ever had a nice, caring, sharing drug dealer in soap before?
Charlie sells some smack to Rainie, then goes off to water Mrs Bartholomew's geraniums, on the night of Lucy's murder he helped Ronnie shift the body, had wild sex on the Common, then came back to change Mr Cockburn's suppository...

What a disappointing turn this storyline has taken. Gone is the mystery only to be replaced by a bog scrubber who has told a few porkies so he can get to know his grandma. Presumably Nick will show up to cause some trouble and then piss off again until the next time the writers are desperate enough to roll him out. On the plus side at least Dot has a blood relative around who actually cares about her.

Loool I agree with this so much! The square needs a cain dingle! dean IS NOT a bad boy, he is a creep and I can't wait for him to be axed! And lee isn't even worthy of mentioning, when's lee getting axed ffs?! Danny boy hatchard CANT act

I think we now know where the body in Nick Cotton's coffin came from.

Oh that's a very good point - hadn't thought of that. It would have to be someone in the home with no relatives of course unless they only put the body in for the vigil on a day they knew no relatives would want to view the body (from the other family) and then weighted the coffin down with something else for the actual service and burial / cremation (can't remember which nick had now).

I thought Charlie was lying when he said he took the money? Just to make his Mom shut up about Nick - and not accept the fact he's back. Which is why he didn't look too bothered about paying it back etc

I actually found it better then the last few episodes. There was some moments that made me giggle and I loved the ending, it was very Pretty Little Liars - a car alarm going of they slowly go outside to see a smashed car then a text...!

Glad to see the Charlie SL moving along can't wait for Ronnie's return.

Regarding Patrick, the thought did cross my mind too. What are the chances of Patrick being placed in that care home I wonder. Denise did say she wanted to see him daily, and it must by close by.

As for Thursday's episode - I quite enjoyed it.

Anyone who looks to a soap for advice is a moron anyway.

It's a fooking catastrophe!!!!!!!!!! I am furious, distraught, hurt and angry all at the same time.

I thought EE had created a real man for once, like a young type style character that Ray Winstone would usually play

I love to know how a Care Worker can actually afford such a flash motor, most have bangers near me

Isn't that kind of the point? It flips it all on its head.

I think every story is developing in a brilliant fashion at the moment.

I agree - people should not take what he said at face value - I think he was protecting his mother from Nick.

Charlie has so much money because he has been stealing it from the care home residents. Maybe some of you guys missed it but this was said in the episode and makes perfect sense. I love the fact he is an undertaker lol

I always knew it would be something as simple as this. That's why when people kept throwing around the Lucy/Ronnie/Charlie murder theories I was saying they were not plausible. Most of you set yourself up for disappointment.

And they’ve been cashing the old fellah’s/lady’s care payments. These care homes charge loads of money per resident, thousands a month, and if the resident’s fees are being paid by the local authority those fees will be paid continuously every month!
