The treatment of a 70 wear old man who has
suffered brain damage and is partially deaf by James and David is horrible to watch. Thank god BB pulled James up on it. |

I think he's hilarious. One of the funniest people I've ever seen on this show.
I also like his laid back Texan demeanor. As well as all of his 'beliefs' whether I agree with them or not.I think he's a really nice guy deep down and really does want to make people feel happy around him. Unfortunately some of them in there don't appreciate that as they are selfish ruthless players who can't see beyond their own worldview and aren't really very tolerant of people who are different from them. What's more, can you imagine how some of the housemates from last year's show would look if they treated Sam in the same way that some of these housemates are treating Gary? He's told them that he doesn't mean anything when he stops somebody from talking so that they can repeat it again because he can't hear them. Yet we see some of them basically being condescending towards him by claiming that "We don't do this in the UK, or we don't say that in the UK, it's classed as rude" as though they're spokespeople for the population of Great Britain. He's being reasonable with them. But as we are aware, they're looking for an easy target. And if we've learned anything about BB over all these years the first thing people target are people who are the most different from the majority. Anyway, great housemate, great guy, he's been a gem of a housemate.

Yes- a totally misunderstood housemate whom the other housemates can't understand because they've got their heads so far up their own and each other's asses.

Now that I know that little troll Leslie is targeting him for sure by popularity poll, I'm right on Gary's side.
I think Gary gets right up people's noses because he instinctively smells bullshit. Go Gary. Get your own back on them all.....and win the GBP's support.

Well said Alrightmate. Great post and is exactly how I feel. I just think he's the most misunderstood housemate this series and the easiest by some to try and exploit. And his American counterparts are right in their with their shark teeth to do exactly that by relaying their own opinions of him in the most dirty tactical ways possible.
![]() But of course with these kinds of things it becomes a meme and other housemates start to believe that Gary is doing or saying bad things to other housemates, just because the rumourmill has started. It's only subtle, but it works. I've seen it work when James relays a story about an encounter he has had with Gary, but twisting the story slightly so that it's in his favour, and the housemate or housemates he's telling the story to just believe him without question. But when you say that Gary is misunderstood, I've got the feeling that it may be less that he's misunderstood by some of them, and rather that housemates such as Leslie and James know exactly what they're doing. Others will follow suit because it's an easier life for them. Rather Gary get evicted over them I suppose. It's a bit shit the position he's now been put in, because it's a position which is likely to break anyone's spirit. Which is very unfortunate for viewers who like Gary because many have liked him because he's been funny and upbeat. Make him miserable and it undermines him as an entertaining housemate. Because for one, he was working really hard to integrate with others. Really hard. But now that is undone because BB have effectively ostracized him further from the main group, while the other housemates who are lording it over Gary and Frenchie are bonding closer together. Which gives Gary less chance of bonding with people when the task is over. He has a mountain to climb. Which I'm not sure he will be able to unfortunately. I don't think that this is going to end well, because from what I understand this isn't going to be just for a day if other housemates are going to be joining Gary and Frenchie. In fact when I think about it more it's really bad because it's almost like solitary confinement if all the other housemates are doing their thing in the house most of the time. I'm starting to question really how ethical this actually is to deprive people like this for a sustained period of time. Wouldn't that be potentially psychologically harmful? I think he's going to walk personally. I think I probably would. |

Yes I noticed that at first they tried to disguise their intentions by claiming that 'other' people in the house are wound up by him.

lovely post, i like that Gary agreed to sleep outside, i know it must be not easy for the fella, but he keeps on smiling through the adversity, u can see his cheeks going all red being outside, having had operstions he gets to feel temperature changes very radicaly. I know, my mom had 2 operations to remove brain tumours and she felt slightest temperatures towards cold side very acutely, go Gary, my son doing well

Is he still outside? I thought he went in after live feed
![]() If more housemates are added he might get to know them better in a smaller group where he can hear them all. That's what I hope. |

Another Gary fan here. I'm so relieved to know he didn't have to sleep outside last night, was so worried about him. I hope on Wednesday he is cheered very loudly so he knows he has fans! Hope Frenchy is evicted - nasty piece of work.

Gary is giving me so many laughs, and I love how he took James down earlier when James said he was the Brad Pitt of dancing.
Can't await to see what he does next

Me and my brother were only discussing our dream celeb BB housemates a few months ago and Gary was at the top of my list along with Christopher Walken, I nearly fell off my chair when I heard his name on launch night, he certainly does not dissapoint
