Patsy Palmer gets her first US role
Actress Patsy Palmer, who plays Bianca in EastEnders, is in talks to reunite with Michael Greco from the soap for a US TV pilot EastEnders actress Patsy Palmer is one step closer to Hollywood stardom after landing a role in a LA pilot. Flame-haired Patsy, who plays mouthy Bianca Jackson in the BBC 1 soap, may still be on our screens but has already moved her entire brood stateside. Patsy, famous for her shrill "Ricky" catchphrase on the soap, has plenty of work offers now she's relocated and we can reveal one will see her reunited with former EastEnders star Michael Greco, who played heartthrob Beppe di Marco in the soap until 2002. The pair will play parodies of themselves in a pilot for British Andy, a show written by former Hollyoaks star Andy Newton Lee, who now runs relocation company Next Stop LAX for stars who want to crack America. A source exclusively told Mirror Celeb: "The pilot will be filmed in Los Angeles in September and it'll be one of Patsy's first jobs since relocating. "The show is inspired by The Office and Extras and will centre around the fictional relocation service Make It Hollywood, which brings UK celebs across the pond. "The creators are in talks with a number of US networks and independent company Next Stop Media is behind the project." http://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrit...#ixzz3B7bF6AeE Follow us: @DailyMirror on Twitter | DailyMirror on Facebook |

Aww good for her, she must be leaving Eastenders soon if she's already living in America.
I do think we won't see Bianca back in Eastenders for years now. |

Sounds similar to Episodes with Matt Leblanc and Steven Mangan. I'm sure I read there are dozens of pilots made each year but very few make it to a series.

Doesn't sound that good. Sounds like she just got a UK role which they've exported to the US. The fact that no major network or studio is endorsing this means that it isn't really a significant acheivement. It's a pilot so the show still needs to get picked up.
Good luck to Patsy, but she still has a lot of work to do yet. Rob Kazinsky who played Sean is doing really well in Hollywood now, so it just depends really. I don't rate Patsy as an actress though. She might struggle to compete in the US without a very very good agent. |

Say what you like, patsy is an EastEnders legend, it will be a real shame to have to let go of yet ANOTHER star! Best of luck to patsy!

Not really a US role.
A role in a show being filmed in America made with other people hoping to "crack America" with a show that hasn't been bought. Andy Newton Lee? Isn't he the brother of the one from Steps? I just don't see any US networks being interested in a show about two ex Eastenders actors playing themselves. It's hardly Matt Le Blanc in Episodes is it?

I can't imagine her without that cockney, common screech. Ricky Whittle is one of the worst actors I've ever seen and he isn't doing too bad off the back of his looks.

Aw, good luck to her; she's having a go. If it falls flat on its arse, it's something she can look back on when she's 70. And if it works she can marry Brad Pitt and hang out with Johnny Depp.

Good luck to her and kudos for attempting this. I hope she succeeds and has lots of success. Sadly this pilot doesn't sound very promising so I hope she doesn't give up at the first hurdle and return to EastEnders. It's time to let Bianca go.

I think because she's... erm.... passed a certain age that her options are seriously limited.

Ricky Whittle is one of the worst actors I've ever seen and he isn't doing too bad off the back of his looks. ![]() ![]() And his former Oaks co-star who played his sister, and also no great shakes acting-wise, is currently in Game Of Thrones (never seen the show though). That is akin to Anthony Cotton getting a role in something like Breaking Bad! Can't see Patsy doing a Catherine Zeta-Jones, but good luck to her. |

It'd be strange seeing Patsy Palmer on the big screen should she manage to get some film roles.

I thought Greco had given up acting to be a full time Poker player?
