Whenever I try and input the times for manual recording on my sky+ HD it doesn't allow the input of the times properly. It only allows me to start off with 1 and then allows the number 2 to follow and then if I'm trying to set a programme time under the 24 hour clock, It allows me to put in 12..... and then it allows a 4 or 5 but I'm unable to set any of those numbers in the first half of the time settings.

So say I want to set something at 15.30 it won't allow it and it won't allow a 12 hour clock setting either. The time displayed on sky is under the 12 hour clock, has that got something to do with this problem? If so I don't know how to change the time displayed setting to a 24 hour settings. I've called Sky about this and so far the person I'm talking to is stumped as well!
Anyone know how to fix this problem?

One other question, under the options heading and under Sky+ set up headings, there is an option to "Add to recording" and "Add to end of recording" by up to 10 minutes. Does this mean that I can set the box to start recording and end up to 10 minutes early and after the programme is supposed to finnish? If it is, that might help somewhat as I keep on getting one programme recording ending before the programme has actually ended. I think thats because the programme is overunning.

Auto (which adds 2mins to the start/finish) normally takes care of programme overrunning times, but you do have to put your trust in the broadcaster updating the EPG - I've always used auto and it has always worked perfectly.

You can add the time manually, a maximum of 10mins, but if the programme runs over by more than 10 mins you will miss the end because a manual setting overrides the auto feature.

Manual recordings are done under 12hr clock pm/am.

EG. For 15:30 you would enter 03:30pm

When you try to do a 12 hour format entry are you entering 03 in the hours or just trying to enter a single digit? If you are entering a single digit try adding the leading zero and see if that makes a difference.

If it is set to use 12 hour format then that would explain why you can only put a 0, 1 or 2 after a leading 1. So perhaps entering a leading 0 will let you enter 3 to 9 as the second digit.

I may have found out the answer to my above question problem. Putting in 03.30 and then selecting PM seems to work but I will need to try it some more and don't have much time at the moment to do so. Just thought I'd save the rest of you some time thinking what the problem might be though.

P.S. I didn't see the above replies when writing this post. Thanks again guys, I think it will work. The programme that I keep on losing the ending of is The Streets Of San Francisco when I record it on ch 148 at 7pm.
